84 is good, don't get me wrong I'm not complaining. But the 2nd rated Qb on the board in my mind would be in the high 80's.

Isn't the star system a way to tell us how a recruit could progress.....even a low 75 5 star recruit has the potential to blow up into a 90 player?

I don't know. Is it?

Re: NCAA ALL THINGS RECRUITING THREAD!!

When it comes to campus visits, I usually don't plan the activities for the recruits. I let the CPU do it for me, If I win they usually have a B+ time, A-, that's the highest i've seen, and the 1st season when I did it myself, I had many C's, so I think it's best to still recruit during the week, but let the CPU decide the activities...

It might just be the player's I've had over time, but I rarely ever get guys in the high 80's. I have only had 4-5 guys ever (not just NCAA 2009) be an 86 or 87. I think if you got the #2 QB and he was an 84, that's pretty good. Sometimes the #1 guy might even be lower. I've had lots of times that I got 2 guys at one position and the higher ranked guy actually ended up being rated lower.

So do you guys use recruiting assistance or just leave them all turned off.

so is it worth it to recruit manually versus quick call? Sure seems like i cover more ground quick calling. i can uncover a ton more with 20 min quick call versus 20 min manual.

Sounds like to me, its fine to quick call the first couple of weeks you contact them, after that i think you are better off manually calling. Just my opinion.

Im thinking of 20-30 min quick calls for weeks one and two and then start the longer manual calls once alot of the recruiting is unlocked.???

See I do it the exact opposite way. I manually call to unlock the stuff because some guys I may decide to go ahead and get 6-8 things unlocked in one call and others I may only want 2-4. And then once I have everything I want unlocked, I use quick calls to let the CPU take control. By then I figure I already know what the guy likes and I'm just letting the CPU do the maintainance for me.
