Isn't the star system a way to tell us how a recruit could progress.....even a low 75 5 star recruit has the potential to blow up into a 90 player?

ya definitely. I'm not sure if all things can be progressed but TV can be progressed pretty fast if you keep doing well. However, things like Academics and athletic facilities do not, or at least I've never seen it.

Re: NCAA ALL THINGS RECRUITING THREAD!!

I'd like to hear more opinions about scholarship offerings. I use to just offer to everyone or at least the top 25 guys. But since I now know that a guy with #1 interest will sign immediately sometimes when offered, I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to wait until the recruit has me in his top 3 or something.

i've found that it helps when they visit, to do the activities that only correspond to their "Most" & two "Very High" pitches. That's the only thing about a campus visit early in the season, you may not have uncovered their 3 pitches yet.

Hmm is it better to do their most and 2 VH's or better to do what your school is good at. For example.

If the recruit has athletic facilities as his "most" and your school is only average at that... Should you have him visit the gym?

Or are you better off sending him to your school's greats and elites regardless of his interest?

Id like to know that.

i thought academic prestige could be improved by having players graduate as opposed to leaving school early for the pros.. I could be wrong though

hard to say.....I usually send them to what they think is important in hoped they have fun regardless of how crappy my school may be in those areas.

oh yea, i bet you're right. I've never tried to get a lot of academic inclined prospects so I wouldn't know but I'm sure you are probably correct.

Re: NCAA ALL THINGS RECRUITING THREAD!!

I'm not sure if this has be brought up but it should be noted that the CPU cheats when recruiting in one respect. They can schedule visits regardless of whether or not it's a home or away game.

For those that really hate the process of recruiting just use the save and reload method. If you remove a prospect from your recruiting board you can offer him a scholarship and schedule visits over and over again until he is number one on your list. Then remove him one last time and save and reload until he commits on the scholarship offer. Since this takes all the fun out of the recruiting process, I only recommend it for people who want top prospects with zero risk of losing them.

Re: NCAA ALL THINGS RECRUITING THREAD!!

I think academic prestige also has do to with your player's awareness. I was playing with Memphis and lost nobody early to the pros or transferring but my academic prestige dropped from Average to Sub Par.
