I don't like the wide open gameplay. Why does there always have to be a gimick.

I would expect teams like WVU, Texas Tech, Hawaii, Mizzou, etc. to play a wide open style, however, teams like Idaho and Tulane shouldn't be lighting up the likes of LSU, USC, and Florida.

When I'm using San Diego St. in my dynasty and I play LSU it should be a real challenge for me. There isn't enough of a difference between the best team and the worst team in this game. Likewise, good d-lines should dominate bad offensive lines.

I'm not talking sacks every play but there should be pressure, the pocket should fall apart, QB's should be forced into throws, etc.

Here is a video of Tommie Harris when he played at OU. His presence was definitely felt by the opposition. Watch about 26 seconds into it. This is what it should look like when OU plays North Texas in NCAA 2009.

Yeah....this isn't a knock on Adam, but his comment that he expects to only "get to the QB" twice a game and he's happy with that scares the absolute crap out of me.

I'll keep saying it til I'm blue in the face. Pass rush does not mean "sacks". It means, as many have stated, constant pressure and harassment of the QB, thereby forcing a decision quicker than they want or "blowing up the play" altogether.

That's not good to see thoughts like that coming from the NCAA team. The ratings should mean something on the line.

I'd agree if it was a 74 rated DT playing against an 84 rated OG or Center. But a 95 rated DT? Or a 98 rated DE? Scary stuff.

The bug occurs in that for example...

You have 10 WRs on your team.

You can only set the first 6 on the depth chart.

If any of those 6 get hurt, tired, etc. the computer SHOULD put in the final 4 WRs before anyone else.

It doesn't....it starts putting in defensive backs and safeties instead.

It does the same on defense.

You have 10 DBs on your team.

You can only set the first 6 on the depth chart.

It doesn't...it starts putting in Wide Receivers.

Fix this please sir.
yes, this bugs me A LOT. at one point all 4 of my WRs on the field were DBs. lol i felt like i was cheating or something. i was able to tone it down some with the sub in/out though, but now my guys get tired and don't play as well it seems.

at one point i had 3 impact players on offense! i was like WTF? then i saw one was my impact CB in as WR.

I have checked out some other forums and I have gathered some info on the FREEZING. We all know the issue with the rosters. When I used the rosters from EArosters com, I had no issues that the majority have had. I DID NOT edit the rosters however. I started an offline Dynasty and everything was fine until I finished my 5th game and it froze. I did save a highlight and photo for this game. When I rebooted my XBOX 360 and reloaded the game, the highlight and photo was saved but of course my dynasty game wasn't. I previously saved a couple highlights from two other games and did not experience any freezing. At first, I just credited the freezing with the roster bug because it had been posted all over various forums that freezing was an issue. But after I found some people who posted about an experience identical to mine....I have come to wonder. Could the EA Sports highlights option have a bug that causes freezing or is all the freezing credited to the downloaded rosters (even if you do not edit them). I ask this because there are other folks who claim to have had no problems with freezing and they have used rosters from the EA Locker. Many of these people have claimed that they did not edit the rosters, just downloaded the rosters with names and played with them as is. If anyone has any insight into this, I would be delighted to hear it. Maybe OMT could answer this.

Dude, if I'm a 95 rated tackle like Sen'Derrick Marks for Auburn and I'm facing centers and guards that are 74 or 75 I should OWN them...I'm talking, I should be blowing up the interior of that line, getting through and making that QB's life a living hell.

I'm not talking about getting 7 sacks a game. But an elite D line should LIVE in the backfield against mediocre competition and should be going "50/50" against similar talent.

95 rated DEs and 95 rated DTs should be FORCES...not programmed to get stonewalled 98% of the time.

That frightens me that you think that way. I need to send you some video of great Defensive lines and let you see what a true dominant line can do in a football game.

"Get to the QB a couple of times and that's good enough for me"....tsk tsk...Adam..Adam..Adam. We need to work on your defensive mentality bud.

Exactly. I hope they don't turn it into a sackfest. A great DT should blow up the play but not necessarily get a sack everytime.

I wish it would more accurately reflect the ratings. For example, a 96 rated DT should win his matchup with a 74 rated o-lineman like 3 out of 5 times or something like that. He shouldn't win the matchup all of the time but his presence should be felt.

I have the biggest problem when the offense is in 5 wide, the defense brings 6 or 7, and the QB has all day to throw. 5 lineman shouldn't be able to block 7 pass rushers.

Or like when I played therizing and I, as Idaho, was in a 5 wide set and his 4 D Linemen, all of whom were AT LEAST 15-20 overall ratings points better than anyone on my own Oline, couldn't get to me AT ALL.

I literally had all day to throw. And with the new "speed cheat", it was like shooting fish in a barrel. Greg Hardy and Jeria Perry should have been eating my lunch the whole game, busting my O line like a bunch of chumps and chasing my QB like he stole something.

Couple that with if the center is getting whipped- more holding and false starts on him. Would be nice to see the CPU then double team him but i would settle for more DL dominating performances and OL penalties if they are struggling.

I thought I read somewhere maybe it wasnt from EA, that said "NFL ready players would dominate less ready players". Maybe it was in a review...I've read so much on the game before it came out that I can't remember anymore.

Co-sign and a big old agreement with Auburn on this one. I think what some of us think slipped past the testers, might be a gross misunderstanding. The game plays like it does for a reason fellas, its becoming more obvious
