Below is a link to a set of pictures taken last month. What you'll see is that the NEZ seats run up right behind the goal line and there's no longer a "horseshoe" shape to the stadium. Again, this was the case before the start of last season. What's been added this offseason is the NEZ upper deck. This fall, DKR will seat approximately 93K, meaning that the overflow capacity could reach 97K.

OMT,

Yeah this is very disappointing! The horseshoe in the North endzone was taken out and the lower deck of seating was completed before the beginning of last season. How is this not in the game?

The Upper Deck is what is currently being built, and it is actually completed with touch ups being finished by the end of July.

Also, since that was done, there are no more temporary bleachers in the South end zoned. Man DKR, should be one of the stadiums done correctly, especially if it's rated #12.

All done and we still have to see the big horseshoe.

Re: Stadium Updates

OMT,

Any idea when Nevada's Mackay Stadium will be added?

I love that the Pistol offense is in the game, and especially with a lot of teams using it. However it would be really nice to get the stadium in there, even if the Wolf Pack aren't very good.

Don't forget about the new TCF Bank Stadium for the Minnesota Golden Gophers next year!

Re: Stadium Updates

This is not a stadium question, per se..but it involves something in the stadium (<--my justification for putting it in this thread..+ I know that OMT will look at it ) but are there any plans to add mascots?

Sayyyyyy........the one to the left of this post??
I can't take looking at UNC's tarheel dancing all game while there's no demon deacon doing stupid things on the other end.

I wouldn't count on it. If they've skipped straight over the smaller conference teams to asking publicly for suggested tweaks for the big boys' bowls, I think it's safe to say the teams playing in that generic bowl might be looking at a LOOOOONG wait before they get to see their stadiums represented (you know, even despite winning a couple of conference titles and having a QB getting national press).

I really just assumed all the stadiums would be in this year as that seemed to be the implication when some were left out last year. Won't make that mistake again.

Re: Stadium Updates

You have Cal's stadium correct. There should be tarps in the Blue and Gold Zones. Here's some shots of the stadium. Also, you do need to add fans on tightwad hill.

Re: Stadium Updates

Have yet to play the game, so these may be there, but I'd tend to doubt it, so here goes.

UAB's Legion Field

The south-side upper deck was removed some time ago, but was still in 2008.

Also, the end zone seats are no longer used, and instead have large banners covering them.

Re: Stadium Updates

One more thing about Cincinnati, you have the visiting student section in the right place (it moved this year and you moved it to the right place), but the home team sideline moved to the side across from the press box and you still have them on the wrong side. You basically have them in front of the visiting team students right now, but that is not a big deal.

-There is talks of renovating the closest endzone here, pictured with the grass hill and tree. In real life, and probably for the next 3 years, fans are allowed to sit on the sides of the hill near that endzone area. Adding in a few dozen fans on those grass hills in the corner of the closest endzone would bring this stadium up to snuff.

also, the UNM lobos MR or PR guy sent some updated UNM field photos to yall, can you confirm this. His name is Alfredo Moreno. It may be easier for me to get the photos from him and post them here.

Thanks again for reaching out

A few other issues I accidentally posted in the bugs thread.

The sun sets on the wrong side of the stadium. The press box should be on the west side not the east side.

The indoor practice facility was completed last summer and is visible to the southeast of the stadium.

The inflatable helmet at the end of the tunnel has been replaced with an inflatable Lobo head, similar to the logo.

The scoreboard on the south side above the athletics building does not have a video board, it is just a three color board (and predates LEDs). There has been a light bulb illuminated since the early 90s or earlier.

I don't have any images to post now, but may try to get some during the upcoming season.

Thanks for listening.
