Re: Stadium Updates

I feel like Indiana's stadium is too generic looking. Its nothing but cement. Get some red seats in there or something.

The series is always interesting if you live in Washington.

Having the game in Seattle every year is a slap in the face to WSU students and the city of Pullman.

It's not a slap in the face to Pullman... it just comes down to the fact that Martin Stadium is tiny compared to Husky Stadium and Qwest.

The numbers show why the AD's are considering this move. Since the teams split the proceeds 50/50 from this game (as do every other Pac-10 rivals for their game) the teams make close to a $800,000 a piece when the game is in Seattle.... but something like $240,000 when it is in Pullman.

So when you factor in that each AD would be getting about $1.5 mill per year for the 6 year run it is quite an upgrade.

I am not willing to sell tradition for this though.... I hate College football in Pro Stadiums.... I went to the WSU vs. Baylor game in Qwest and it was just sad.

Couple the fact that the Qwest game for WSU never sells out and the tickets are dirt cheap I fail to see how they think this is going to make a bunch of money outside of advertising when the tickets skyrocket to 100 a piece or something.

Re: Stadium Updates

I say raise ticket prices to about $65 and the renevue will be about the same.... The only bright side to this is our stadium renovation will be payed off and were increasing seating to about 43,000 from 35,000 so we will make more money in the long run

OMT,

Is there a formula for the crowd according to the colors in the team palette? Is it something like 85% color 1, 10% color 2, 5% away color?

If so, would it be easy to switch between color 1 and color 2? I ask because Ross-Ade Stadium's crowd is mostly gold in color on the game, when actually black should be the more dominant color.

Any insight would be great!
