Another minor commentary issue concerning a stadium - last night I played as Temple at the Linc in Philly and Nessler called it 'Lincoln Financial Stadium' instead of 'Lincoln Financial Field'.

Another thing about the Linc you may want to note for the future - you can see the Spectrum in the Western open corner, which is correct - that will be getting demolished after next hockey season (the AHL Phantoms play there among other things) for a hotel, retail space and other items. Obviously this effects Madden as well.

What the fish?! Are you bloody kidding? Even if my school weren't one of the neglected schools (which it is) the football fan in me would prefer you got the stadiums in the game before worrying about t-shirt colors or fan sections. And then, once you've managed the stadiums, rather than moving on to renovations, get the AA teams back in the game.

Literally SHOCKED at this answer/excuse-making...
Wait for me to clarify before you start pegging me for making excuses.

We have a finite amount of time to spend on stadiums every year. We added several new stadiums, and updated several others for 09. The ones that aren't in didn't make the cut. That doesn't mean we are skipping them, we just did other ones first.

So much for that theory. Maybe it's just a case of "screw the MAC"?

I think you missed the point. Adam was trying to give us a sense of just how incredibly labor intensive adding new stadiums is. I remember reading an interview a couple years back with one of the NCAA 07 developers. In it he stated that the NG stadiums have approximately 10 times as many polygons as the LG versions.

I would be willing to bet that the amount of man hours necessary to address all of the update requests in this thread will be significantly less than the approx. 350 hrs required to create a single new stadium from scratch.
Thank you for posting that. I was shaking my head at that post when I replied, so I hadn't gone and dug up all the stuff we did do. You did it for me!

Also we did renovations to around 10 other stadiums, from bowling in Okahoma State's endzone, to adding large video boards to some schools that added them.

Re: Stadium Updates

Are you going to have TCF Bank Stadium in the game next year, the new home of the Minnesota Golden Gophers?

The stadium is currently ahead of schedule and will surely be hosting the opener against Air Force in 2009.

First I have heard this? When I talked to the Western Kentucky athletic director about getting them in this year, he said that once a team moves to 1A, there is a moratorium of a few years before they let anyone else join. Since this is the first year for Western Kentucky, I don't see how these guys are 1A. Maybe they are starting the transition period, but they won't be in 1A for a few years.

Right... and they call it "historic" and stuff. I considered removing these, but it IS still Stanford Stadium. They didn't just build a new one.. they demolished the old one and put the new one right on top. It was more like a total renovation.

If it won't be ready until 2009, there is no way to get it in the game. If a stadium won't be finished until after early January of 09, we will have to wait a year.

Adam-

Thanks for adding Martin Stadium - Washington State. It looks great and makes playing home games great.

OMT,
Below is a link of projected renderings that OU has revealed. Hopefully you'll have time to work them in for next year.

Great! If you come across some photos once the season starts, send them my way.
