no you should wait to see what it is that they are fixing. I can almost guarantee that the things Ian listed in the first post of this thread, at least his top things, will be "looked" at very closely.

I know its annoying, but you have to have patience.

And to be honest, and I know people don't want to hear this, but they are probably still trying to figure those things out.

Also what most people don't understand about writing code and fixing code is that when something goes wrong and you think "oh well that's an easy fix" it could mess up 10 other things. That right there is the biggest reason he can't say exactly what will be fixed.
Oh PJ I completely understand all that. BUT coming out and saying "We know the pursuit angles are off, we are looking into what is going wrong" is wayyyyyy better than not saying anything and the community getting upset that they may never address the issue.

I look at it like this.

NCAA 09 wonderful to look at, from a gameplay side it is broken and has some big big issues. We paid full price for a game that is almost unplayable. So I don't think it is a huge ordeal to give us some insight.

If you think this game is almost unplayable, you must not play a lot of games. It may have some serious AI flaws, but it is not even close to unplayable. Just doesn't play how you want it to.

If you want an unplayable game, try Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 before any patches. Now THAT is literally unplayable.

Kicking Game?

08>09...is this even a question?

Passing Game?

08>09...Yeah 09 is more wide open but I've had plenty of games with over 300yds. passing.

DL/OL interaction

08>09...No brainer. Suction blocking an all time worse this year.

Pursuit angles?

08>09....this year has to be the worst ever.

Turnovers?

09>08...congrats on getting something right. Yeah I still see jetpacking by CPU dbs in 09 too.

CPU AI?

Tough one here but, at least in 08 the CPU didn't run out of bounds with a lot green in front.

SIM Stats?

08>09...Is there any doubt?

CPU Passing?

08>09..Again any doubt?

DB Play?

Yeah 08 had the LB's with 48 inch vertical leaps but at least the dbs covered.

What is better in 09?

Player models
Juke moves
Field texture
Custom sounds
Recruiting
Instant replay on the bumpers
Tackling animations
I feel bad for you guys that play the CPU a lot. I only play online and I find 09 to be a LOT better than 08 in this area. Everything plays better. The biggest issue I see online is deep QB drop backs and 57 yard field goals.

Re: NCAA 09 Gameplay Issues (response from EA)

Will anything be done about the insanely easy field goal kicking? In my last 2 online games I've seen kicks made from 54, 57, 57 & 57 yards. It's like a sick joke that field goal returns were added when every field goal attempt can be easily made from nearly 60 yards out.

LMAO

Against the CPU it is on the verge of unplayable. CPU running out of bounds with tons of green in front, poor pursuit angles with them running along side you and not tackling, punt/kickoffs easy tds

Re: NCAA 09 Gameplay Issues (response from EA)

I'm sure this has been mentioned already but I don't have the time to read through 57 pages of posts.

Is there a plan to fix defensive AI? I mean, I see linebackers approaching the ball carrier and literally turn around and run away from him. This is magnified on kick/punt coverage but to have it happen on every play is so annoying.

I wont speak for anyone else but I really have soured on how their attitude has changed. That knee jerk reaction comment from Ian does nothing but bring back my fears of same ole EA. My little sister watches me play this game and can recognize issues. However these highly paid proghrammers think we are just overreacting. That seem right? Community involvement all you want, if you still dont produce then whats tjhe point. Save me the PR crap and just say were the only NCAA Football game in town take it or leave it
