Which will never happen so why bring it up? The games are fun and everyone loves to play it...The games have become more and more competitive over the years and thus, made everyone notice every small detail in which to blame the game...

CODE is CODE. They can program guys to do certain things, but during the game it's up to the user to adjust and see what tends to work vs. not...How can anyone make an honest judgement on the game given most people have not played it but for a couple days...Makes no sense..Give it some time....

Re: NCAA 09 Gameplay Issues (response from EA)

I am so freakin glad I rented this game before buying it.

The fact that they still don't have "legacy gen" controls sucks. Then the fact you can not even "customize" the controls to be close (at least on PS3) because EA locked certain "face buttons" to certain tasks really blows.
Those 2 issues alone makes this game unworthy of my money.

Throw in the kick/punt coverage issues, which are pathetic at stage.
Throw in the roster glitch, also pathetic!
The "reversed sliders" = pathetic.
There are still serious player control issues! DL do not respond to controller input immediately at the snap (in fact they sometimes run in the opposite direction of your input)!!!!
The game is still very jerky!!! I don't understand why the PS2 version is soooooo much smoother than the PS3, makes no sense- "the next generation of gaming, indeed"!!!!
The pass rush issues, not so much that you can not get sacks, but you and the CPU have way too much time to throw, and while I agree that the college game should be more "wide open" than the NFL game, playing defense in NCAA 09 is a crapshoot and the DBs play like they are pop warner kids rather than college level football players. There is still a lag/delay between hitting the button and the player doing "whatever" that is too long offline, I can't imagine trying to play this game online!

Add it all up, the game is about a 6 out of 10, and another case of 1 step forward 1.5 steps back for EA. I am sooooo freakin glad I rented it, now I don't have to waste my money on a game I wouldn't play for more than a couple days.

I am not buying another EA game at all, until Madden and NCAA have "legacy gen controls" preconfigured into the game.
The new controls suck balls, they are counter-intuitive, and unrealistic.

I had such high hopes that this would be the year EA truned the corner and I got to enjoy video game football again, so sad for me I guess!

Congratulations! I'm happy you didn't waste the money. Oh well, Check back next year and maybe EA will get something accomplished. I hear they are lazy and stuff like that but who knows. I think someones going to start a petition so look out for it. The support will be appreciated!

Agreed, for the most part.

But come on - a 6? Even I gave it a 6.5.

Damn sky, your sarcastic comments are just as unnecessary as the ones you're responding to...

Maybe we can get back on topic so the gameplay issues aren't lost in all the comments...

Yeah, this is getting ridiculous now.

I agree with the controls. I've never seen something that bad in my entire life. I had no idea what they were thinking with that. I hope to god Madden hears our complaints...It has to be the single biggest flaw in the entire game. No comparison.

Re: NCAA 09 Gameplay Issues (response from EA)

wow, I really dont have that much of an issue with the cpu sacking me. In fact depending on the play 2 to 4 secs is all the pocket time I get which is realistic. I also get pressure on my own in several ways. short passes especially cross routes of any kind get really cheap but cover 3 or man spy works. main gripe EA the rosters ordeal is crap and now i will deploy before ya'll are even close to releasing the patch. Pissed wouldnt even be the word. but you guys already know that

No worries. I understand the frustration. I just read the slider thread...

I'm still enjoying the game but I hate having to put in "work" to get around these issues.

I sincerely hope the patch can address a majority of them.

Adam... PLEASE... take as long as you need to patch as much as possible for this title. Don't rush out just to tweak a few things here and there and eliminate the roster issues. I understand you're going to being worrying about 2010 soon... but don't let that be a reason why this game doesn't become as good as it should be.
