I don't see anything wrong with this play in terms of defensive execution (maybe LBzrule can correct me?)...I guess the problem I'd remark on is the QB is always making the perfect read and you're seeing plays like this all game. He times the deep in perfectly and hits the guy right when he cuts. I guess I don't see this as shocking when you've got everyone in man.

I read up to these posts and why hasn't anyone mentioned the fact that the QB did a jumping and spinning throw that was more accurate than any HOF QB that has ever played the game? What is that?

You saw Mr. Blackmon and his incredible "run backwards, then run forwards" defense earlier?

Well I now bring you Mr. Antonio Coleman, 90 rated DE for Auburn. Watch as Mr. Coleman does a great job of speed rushing past the Georgia OT, then he leaps over the tackle trying to take out his legs. He's got Stafford dead in his sights, moving in for the kill, but then....

He decides to WARP BACKWARD and BACKPEDAL AWAY FROM STAFFORD. Once again, the QB having pleeeeeenty of time to throw, finds his man.

What. The. Hell. Ian.

Stafford has the Bubonic Plague. That is horrible.

Yeah that's not acceptable, that seriously affects the outcome of a game. The DE made a great play only the have it cheaply taken away. I am convinced that there is some kind of bizarre mechanic in place this year around the line of scrimmage and backfield on passing plays that artificially aides this "wide open gameplay." It's quite glaring.

For all that the game does well and all the potential it has I won't be able to play this for very long with this sort of stuff happening.

I feel bad for you guys that got the game already. This is pretty pathetic to see all these glaring gameplay screwups. I don't feel so bad for still being on PS2 right now. Hopefully they will be able to fix this with a patch though.

I said it earlier and now, after giving video evidence of 3 different HORRIBLE...I mean...HORRIBLE Defensive AI "bugs"....

I believe the programmers put in handicaps to the defense to increase this BS "Wide Open Gameplay" crap.

Personally, I never had issues with 08 as far as big plays, etc. At least in 08, you could play defense.

I'm seriously pissed off now. I was so excited for Online Dynasty, etc. and now....ugh.

If this gets fixed, then what? If they roll out a patch that somehow reverts the defense back to being competent, what happens with the selling point of "Wide Open Gameplay"? What happens to all the casual fans who now have this, this...defense taking away the wide openness?

Very valid bug - I will forward this one on.

How often have you seen a bad "suction" like this one? I'd hope not often at all.
