Well, decided for one last ditch effort in Phoenix. Went on a mad rental chain run. All of the clerks would check the computer and tell me the 15th. The last one I went to had THE CASE ON THE SHELF! I couldn't believe it. It had a sticker that read "Bring to cashier to purchase." When I brought it up, the guy said it was strictly for the $5 deposit. ARGH! I think that officially ends my hunt this year. Unless I hear different, Tuesday it is.

Called a local store and said they had the game in the back. Went up there, as the guy was going to the back one of the other guys asked about it and said "You mean the one that comes out on the 15?", I didn't want to blow it so I played dumb. That's when I pulled out the voucher to see if they'd sell it, he then went to check with the manager. As I'm waiting around, the guy from the back comes back with a handful of copies for the PS3. Manager and dude came back and said they'd never seen the voucher before and were scared to sell the game before release because of the risk of fines and whatnot. Damn it all to hell! There goes me getting the game early like the past couple of years!

Any luck in the NW suburbs of Chicago (Crystal Lake area)? I tried the Wal-Mart in Algonquin, which is where I got my copy of MLB the Show early but "they did not have it."

That's not true at all. There are not any mom and pop stores in the Chicagoland area,only the big chains that will not budge on the street date. Everything is on extreme lockdown in these parts. It sucks.
