Re: Official NCAA Impressions Thread (360, PS3)

From Jaa1980

ALL AMERICAN
7-8 MIN QRTS
PENALTIES - ALL 95 (ACTUAL GET SOME WITH THESE)

HUMAN AND CPU ALL THE SAME:

QB Acc 45
Pass Blocking 0
WR Catching 0
RB ability 75
Run blocking 50

awareness 60
knockdowns 100
interceptions 0
break block 100
tackling 100

FG Power 40
FG Acc 0
Punt power 65
punt accuracy 0
kickoff power 65

I started to use these sliders on All American, and I was liking the game alot, but these sliders made the game that much better and very enjoyable for me, I am on my 11th game of my dynasty and loving them. I reccommend these and hopefully you will get the same satisification out of them as I do.

Re: Official NCAA Impressions Thread (360, PS3)

I have mixed feelings about this game (PS3). I've played about 10 or 15 games so far and while the game is much improved from last season, it's still missing the fun factor that the PS2 version has in my opinion.

I really like all the differerent playbooks this year's game has, and each team finally seems to run the similar style of offense that they do in real life for the most part. The running game is also more fun than previous versions for any system. Still, I find myself bored as I'm playing it for some reason, even in close games.

By the way, I'm not noticing this but do the uniforms get dirty at all? I was playing in some massive rain last night at Miami and never noticed the uniforms changing at all. Also, I hate that the field stays the same throughout the entire game, no matter the weather. There are many other issues with the game but they have already been mentioned several times so I won't bring them up.

Yes the uniforms get dirty, but not a like a mudfest in old gen. I think it's just fine.

The PS2 version was faster. I liked that myself. The PS2 version was also more arcade like with many big plays in the game on both sides. The deep ball was a bit too easy and the cpu also threw it deep! I think deep down all of us like the game to be a bit more arcade/big play type rather than a pure sim. The PS2 had crazy jukes by RBs and a lot more big plays in the running game. If you are missing that, try really boosting the RBA to emulate an old school type of feel. Some might not like that style but give in to the dark side!

That said, I'm still loving this game. I'm not sure by next spring if I can say this game is more enjoyable than my experiences on the PS2 but I guess I'll find out.

I really like the running game on the PS3 version this year. By the way, you really think the PS2 version is more arcade than the PS3 this year? I've played 5 or 6 games on the PS2 version and they've all had lower scores than the PS3 games. I was thinking that PS3 version was more aracadish.

Re: Official NCAA Impressions Thread (360, PS3)

I am not one to "cry over spilled miled like OMT mention in another post" but I must mention as a purchaser of this game how disappointed and upset I am about the amount of bugs and glitches in this game. The amount of bugs and glitches is unacceptable for someone to call a finished product and charge you $60 because they can come patch it up later. It makes you wonder what type of QA dept EA has and do they actually test the games and take input from the testers. Shame on you EA.

Did you manage to play any games on the 360 version before returning it? (Non dynasty?)

I am having a VERY hard time deciding between the 360 or PS3 version.

Any and all opinions would be appreciated.

Re: Official NCAA Impressions Thread (360, PS3)

I read the first 50 pages of this thread.... (every post) and I was VERY excited to go get this game.

Unfortunately I am still trying to decide between the 360 or PS3 version.

But after reading the last 10 pages (most recent 10 pages) now I am wondering if I should get it at all.

I have gone to an "every other year" plan with EA football games... so I was/am very excited to get the 09 versions of NCAA and Madden, after sitting out the 08 versions.

I have owned every year (of Madden) previous starting with the 07 versions. I have the 07 versions on the 360.

So whats the deal? Is it really as broken as the last 10 pages make it sound? I found the demos to be fun... but I havent messed with them a ton.

And is the PS3 or 360 version better? (I am hoping to hear form people who have played both)

Thanks for any and all impressions and opinions.
