I thought it was a little weird too (also having A as the swat ball on D I switched it to RB) but I got used to using A as strip.

It's not really a deal breaker and I'm not losing because of it but I feel helpless on D sometimes. Although I really have only had 1 game where the stats were in-human and that was when I played with WVU vs Cincy. They're QB went 32-39. Only 7 incomplete passes? The only reason why he missed 7 were because I would pic them, tip them or get lucky and jar it loose. Other than that all of his throws would have been money. BTW let me say that White and Devine are un-f*ckin-stoppable. They are the most fun team that I've played with as I beat Cincy 70-24 on AA 5 minute quarters.

BTW my last game was by far the most realistic I've played. I played as UGA vs Hawaii with the score 38-13. I was 18-21 passing with 255 passing yards and 32 rushing attempts with 145 yards. I had the feeling like I was watching it on TV again, Hawaii just seemed flustered as they went 16-27 passing with 94 yrds and only 6 rushing yds. I got a lot of pressure and made the QB force passes which felt like it should, but the QB always eluded the sack and I only got to him once.

I'm hoping these sliders get figured out as I haven't messed with mine much.
that was the biggest game breaker for me, no matter what last year you couldnt stop the computer offense on 3rd down n matter how long they had to go

Still robo QB's?

Turnover fest?

Is defense actually hard this year?

Kinda. Sliders can fix it though.

No.

I don't know what you mean.

1: No I've had QB's throw less than 50% - I just don't feel sliders are the reason as it's just a rondom thing. I can live with that however as I feel it ties to your D and player ratings/experience (I hope)
2: Absolutley not. Not even close to being a TO fest.
3: Yes More than any time before you have to know your players abilities and make call that they can deliver on. Leave someone M2M on a better player and you'll get burned more times than not.

Most fun NCAA game I've played in a looong time.

I like this assessment. It is possible to "win" on defense, but you have to work at it. The pass rush is a bit fubar'ed but the key is to recognizing who is good at what. Dont call man if your Man rating is low and same with zone. You have to call to players strengths. Its what weve faced on offense for years, you dont go spinning with Javorskie Lane and you dont go truck sticking with Trindon Holliday, you play based on their strengths. Now we ahve to do the same on defense.

Re: Official NCAA Impressions Thread (360, PS3)

Just finished my first initial games and, I've gotta say, I truly love this game.

First game was Iowa at Wisconsin (I was Wisconsin...favorite team). PJ Hill was solid for 4-6 yards per carry. My TE was fantastic and my defense held them to 10 points in the game. Screens were deadly against Iowa. I won 35-10.

Second game was more of a test, as I chose Kansas (who is remarkably only a 75 overall) at Florida. I was Kansas. I tried screens....they didn't work. The WR's were inexplicably slow. And Percy Harvin torched my defense all game long. I lost 28-17. As frustrating as it could be at times, it was so realistic I had a lot of fun.

I've never been a hardcore gamer, so I've never been as dominant as most of the guys that play online. But, the way defense is setup this year, I feel that as long as I call the right plays, I have a really good chance to make things happen. I've always been about calling the right plays at the right times, so I may be able to get into online play this year.

I'm downloading the PS3 update 2.41 right now. If anyone wants to play, my screen name is custom36. Should be an easy win for ya!

You won't be disappointed if you love college football. Add in the custom stadium sounds and you'll be in drooling.

I am in no way a joystick guru but I have no problems stopping 3rd and longs more times than not. Yeah it's a lot harder to stop the 3rd and 4-5 yards but really it should be. On the long ones if you leave the middle open they will hit a slot WR on a post route or a deep in.
I make sure the middle is covered and most importantly if they do complete a pass make sure there are no RAC.

Are tehre some issues in the game? Of course, there always are issues. Are the to the point of making the game unplayable? No freaking way. Someone said it earlier and I believe it also: If you don't like the game then you went in not wanting to.
