Playing in my offline dynasty last night as Buffalo (I know, shudup!), I went into my game at #4 Missouri at a crisp 3-0 on the year, feeling pretty good about myself.

I get the ball first...get held 3 and out and have to punt. Mizzou drives right down field and scores, going up 7-0.

I answer right back with a nice TD drive featuring mostly my running game, it was 7-7. They score again, going up 14-7, I tie it up 14-all, again with my running game.

They take the lead 21-14, I get the ball back and on my first play of the drive, my starting HB gets hurt, out for 4 weeks. He had 70-something rushing yards at this point, midway through the 2nd quarter.

Well...that was it. Mizzou proceeded to kick my little *** up and down the field. Final score, Mizzou 63, Buffalo 14.

My *** still hurts...
lol, I smirked as I read you used Buffalo then your commented made me lol. Its like you were speaking right at me.

Re: Official NCAA Impressions Thread (360, PS3)

I'm loving the game so far but the CPU passing is beginning to irk me. I can't stand holding them to 3rd down all the time just to have them pass it over the middle for 15 yds. It's not really a deal breaker and I'm not losing because of it but I feel helpless on D sometimes. Although I really have only had 1 game where the stats were in-human and that was when I played with WVU vs Cincy. They're QB went 32-39. Only 7 incomplete passes? The only reason why he missed 7 were because I would pic them, tip them or get lucky and jar it loose. Other than that all of his throws would have been money. BTW let me say that White and Devine are un-f*ckin-stoppable. They are the most fun team that I've played with as I beat Cincy 70-24 on AA 5 minute quarters.

BTW my last game was by far the most realistic I've played. I played as UGA vs Hawaii with the score 38-13. I was 18-21 passing with 255 passing yards and 32 rushing attempts with 145 yards. I had the feeling like I was watching it on TV again, Hawaii just seemed flustered as they went 16-27 passing with 94 yrds and only 6 rushing yds. I got a lot of pressure and made the QB force passes which felt like it should, but the QB always eluded the sack and I only got to him once.

I'm hoping these sliders get figured out as I haven't messed with mine much.

Opened up the game and without making any changes, jumped into an exhibition game. Toledo @ BGSU. This game is definitely different to me compared to the last few versions of NCAA Football, and much better in my opinion.

The sliders do need to be adjusted to improve defensive pass rush, offensive rushing and perhaps pass defense. But not too much, and they are not game killers at all.

I won the game 21-16.
Damn right, BGSU FTW.

I guess I have to ask a question, so....is the play-by-play the same recycled lines over and over or is it actually decent?

Haha, TJ< it was a good effort, and 3-1 for Buffalo aint bad.

Question for anyone/everyone - do you feel like when you are on offense (or ig uess it works for CPU too) that the offense is just unstoppable with broken tackles and juke moves everywhere? I know people only post highlights and not 2 yard runs, but it seems like everything we see is someone breaking 8 tackles while hurdling and spinning

It's better than before...many of the old lines are still there but they've sprinkled in some new stuff that really adds to it.

Example - when your HB gets tired and your 2nd stringer enters the game, Nessler makes mention of it.

I mentioned it earlier but the commentary is solid this year. Its a lot better at being descriptive during in game action and I have heard a quite a few new lines

Hey TJ, are you from the Buffalo area originally? Did you go to UB? I am from Jamestown originally. I moved to Bowling Green for school, but I took a semester at Buff State.

In my opinion, you don't get a huge amount of big plays. I get a lot of short yardage runs. (That being said, I've only played about 7 or 8 games)

I also think the person carrying the ball makes a huge difference. I broke a few big ones with C.J. Spiller and Noel Devine, but that's something that you pretty much knew was going to happen on an EA NCAA game. Its not like its bad or anything. I wasn't taking it to the house from 75 yards out every time I touched it, but I was definitely getting some bigger runs with those two. I think the ground game balances itself out relatively well.

Computer running...is another story. Still looking for some sliders to aid their running.

Passing...I kind of agree with the overall sentiment of the board here. The CPU will eat you alive with short passes. They dink and dunk all the way down the field sometimes. Likewise, human passing seems the same way. In my opinion though, its definitely not as easy to utilize the deep ball against the CPU this year.

Also...for any Oklahoma State fans, a couple things of notice.

The completely renovated Boone Pickens is included in the game. Didn't get the west endzone perfectly right, but I'm surprised they included the projected appearance at all. That was really a nice surprise.

And Toston can't hold on to the ball in videogame form either. I've had 6 user fumbles in the 7 to 8 games that I've played. Toston has accounted for 3 of them. Also, Dez is not the default #1 receiver.

In the "Campus News" section, or whatever its called...they used the actual name of the campus newspaper for Oklahoma State news. I thought that was a pretty nice touch.

I have to play it some more, but as of right now, I'm really liking the game. The new offensive movements take some getting used to, but are relatively easy to grasp and use. On the other side of the ball, I feel like I have to re-learn defense strategy, movements, and position in order to account for this years neutered D, but overall as of right now, I'm having a lot of fun.

P.S.: I threw a version of "Voodoo Child" as my custom song before kickoff, just to test it out last night. Sounded great. I really dig this feature.
