As I write this I'm eagerly anticipating the game, though EA (ordered it online) hasn't emailed me yet. But that's for another thread. What I'd like to know here is this: EA put out a while ago a spreadsheet of top 25 team player ratings.
I'd like to know if the same player rating database was avialable for all 120 teams. The reason being that I often get confused when scouting or creating players what ratings are the best at each position, what a slightly-above average OT might rate at STR. So I have a statistical program designed to analyze these things and I need a spreadsheet to do that. Yes I'm a stats geek

Looking forward to all this, and thanks Adam & Co for their great help and patience, even when some posters (including me) could get a little cross.

Adam, I have a question about the player models. It seems that larger backs in the game, like Wells of Ohio State and Blount of Oregon look quite skinny and small on the field of play and don't look anything like the representations in the edit screen. Do you feel like the player model on the field is the same as what we're seeing in the edit screen? In fact in general I don't think the players at all positions look the same on the field as they do in the edit menu. I might just be hallucinating as I have been playing the game all weekend with little sleep.

Another question - Is momentum still in the game? how is it measured?

Yeah I'm pretty sure something is screwed up with the player models. I checked to make sure that it wasn't edited rosters (like editing o-linemen in '06), nope not that, default roster has the same problem.


There is something off here. One definitely looks like a power back in supposed to, the other looks like an anorexic.

I'd say there's something really wrong there, but then I remembered it's Oregon, they're SUPPOSED to look tacky.

Seriously though, it is like two different sets of player models. Both comparisons were taken with default rosters, no names, or edits, just the game the way it comes on the disc.

Yea there is definitely a BIG desparity there. I commend you for your efforts in finding these...I don't think I would've picked up on it. I guess that to make the game look the way it is when in-play those player models take the hit.
