Charter04's NCAA Football 14 Heisman Sliders

***These are new heisman sliders. You must follow the instructions for them to work***

I decided to move all my set to the second post and start over. I'm just not happy with the results. If you are still using any of the other sets and you enjoy them then keep on with it.

I am tired of tweaking this and tweaking that. I wan to get things closer to default because I think it helps the game stay balanced.

The biggest issues I have hadis the passing game for user and cpu, fatigue and subs, and tackling.

The only way to get passing to be a challenge for me is to put user acc at 5, user catch at 35, user pass block at like 15, and cpu pass coverage really high or low. How ever you look at it. It makes slants a crazy adventure with accuracy at 5 but at 10 I'm Joe Montana.

We all know that we can't get RB's to sub out correctly and this is a frustration. I'm also tired of the arcade style tackling.

I think I have found a way to pretty much fix these problems without a bunch of slider tweaks. It will take some roster editing but, only about 5 or 6 players and you don't have to change anything on your team other than the first time. I also am going to try this on Madden.

Step one: Lower your QB's acc by 30 and the QB's of the team you play that week. Once the week is over raise their acc back up or it will mess up their season. I know some don't like doing this stuff but, if you want a realistic game this is small potato's. Once you change the guys on your team you don't have to mess with them possibly the rest of their career.
-This will make it were you will have much less accuracy down the field and outs will be harder to complete but, you won't see the crazy throws on simple slant routes.

Step Two: Lower you starting RB's stamina to about 70 and the starter on the team you play that week. This will ensure that you will see the back up auto sub in. You might leave this as is for the cpu team. It might help their back up get more carries in sim games too.

Step Three: Lower the face mask penalty to 5. This gives you proper wrap up tackles.

That is it. These two adjustments make all the difference. I do have some adjusted sliders but, they are pretty close to default.

-These are still a work in progress. Test and see if you like it.

Game Mode: Play Now, Dynasty, Coach Mode, Campus Legend.

Difficulty: Heisman

Quarter Length: 8-10 minutes. (you should be getting 120-140 on average per game. Sometimes teams have a combined 160+ total plays in real life. That is both teams combined. Only use rushing ATT and Pass ATT's for this)

Play Calling: Optional (I always call my own plays)

Speed: Normal

Threshold: 50 (for now)

Game Play Sliders: User/CPU

QB Accuracy: 10/10
Pass Blocking: 25/45
WR Catching: 35/40
RB Ability: 50/50
Run Blocking: 50/50
Pass Coverage: 50/50
Interception: 40/35
Rush Defense: 50/50
Tackling: 55/55


Special Teams (Default for now)

Auto Subs (Default for now)

Penalties

Offside: 50
False Start: 50
Holding: 50
Face Mask: 5
OPI: 1
DPI: 1
KR/PR Inter: 50
Clipping: 50
Int Grounding: 50
RTP: 50

(With User accuracy this low you will have to put touch on passes. You can't fire the ball all over the field. It's the only setting that gets close to making the QB accuracy rating matter. You can raise it to 10 if you hate 5. I wish 7 or 8 was an option)

WR Catching: 40/40
RB Ability: 45/65
Run Blocking: 25/50
Pass Coverage: 45/100
Interception: 30/40
Rush Defense: 40/65
Tackling: 45/50

I really can't but, other guys are making me think the retail will be similar as far a sliders go. I also wanted to move the testing to the retail slider thread instead of the demo one.

For those testing on the retail version I would like to know a few things. Is user passing too easy? How are penalties working? How well is the CPU moving the ball? Thanks

Penalties are awful!! I've seen one penalty so far.. I'm in the 3rd quarter.. It was a clipping on a kick return.. Passing is easy I'm lighting up southern miss.. Also their ball control is terrible.. Ill post my final stats when I finish to give u a better idea.. They are no huddling so that could be why the ball control is so bad

ended up being a great game.. my offense got shut down in the 2nd half i still moved the ball but couldn't get it done..
