Re: coaching sliders=fixed screen issue/deep ball issue

I've been doing nothing but playing Coach Mode or watching CPU vs CPU games while I work on my own roster using OS Community rosters. I'm playing on All-American and I have the CPU QB ACC slider set at 100...but I have edited their THA individual rating. This allows for the CPU to have pocket awareness while still making errant throws.

The only time I really see the CPU abuse the deep ball is at the end of the half and when they are behind in the 2nd half. It frustrated me so bad that I just created playbooks that were without any plays that had streaks and go's. At this point, you guys and everyone else who have been testings ratings, sliders etc have done all we can do to band aid the safety play/long ball issue. IMO, what you guys have come up with is the best that it'll get until this patch drops. EA specifically made reference to fixing safety zone play in this next patch because they know it's broken.

But, you cats have done a marvelous job in coming up with a way that will allow us to enjoy this game in spite of for the time being.

Re: coaching sliders=fixed screen issue/deep ball issue

The Human pass defense is to good for the A.I. Thats where alot of forced passes are coming from. Matt Barkley just threw an interception but all of his receivers where being glued. I think every slider set should have human pass coverage at 5 or 0 because the A.I will force a pass if a receiver is only open for a split second since they feel that is the only passing opportunity but when they throw it the DB catches up and picks it off.

Props to chep, the game is definitely an improvement over past findings. Curious to see what authentics video holds but from what i am playing i am excited to use some sliders tweaks with these findings.

Its so weird because when i initially lowered the CPU aggression, the safeties and QB's instantly played better. But now it is reversed.

After testing this all day, I am starting to think ark wa origonally right about offense and defense aggression, but the other guy is right about setting 50 r/p defense.

My findings are only right on very slow. The majority play on normal or slow and the pass speeds vary. On very slow a DB will have time to catch up to the ball while on normal he wont get there in time. I wish others felt the same about how i feel about very slow but they wont. I should have done all testing on normal speed and made personal tweaks for my play style.

My only concern is stats in Dynasty mode. I'm working on reversing everything, and testing a Dynasty quick. I am uploading my video right now, terrible quality though.

This is where you'll find the biggest gap when trying to "tune" these in. Since I no longer work with authentic and liv3,I have done several tests on my own,and have come to the conclusion that very slow produces the best results.

BUT since folks play using different thresholds and speeds,I feel it's going to be difficult to get the desired results. The only way this would be possible is to have sliders for every speed setting.

Interesting.

Remember a couple years ago we had the theory of "Zero penalty sliders" created a solid gaming experience?

I hope we don't get to that point with the ideas of REVERSED SLIDERS.

Eitherway, though, I would LOVE if this fixed the SACKS and DB Glitch. Those are my 2 BIG ONES.

I'm playing on very slow with Matt10 and my Heisman Sliders and this game just got perfect after flipping aggression ... CPU offense is nearly unstoppable with their short passing game and long drives, mixing in run and pass, and I'm having a lot more difficulty with any kind of consistent offense.

It's just a better all around game, played a classic NC State (ME) vs. Tennessee. Bray goes 72% (46 pass attempts) for 350 yards and just mixes it up all game, whether it be short, medium, a couple of long passes, screens ... was only able to sack him twice.

Putting run/pass defense at 50/50 for Tennesse really made their defense shine.

This is the best NCAA yet with these tweaks ... I would be scared to know what the patch might do after all of this.
