Re: Matt10's Heisman sliders (zero based)

That's my question too. I have been using these in my dynasty (it's over on the dynasty forums) and been getting terrific results. Curious to know if anyone has tried these post patch.

Haven't fired up NCAA yet to download the patch. But I'll most likely look into the differences, I understand the QBA slider might be fixed - we'll see. I hope I won't have to change too much, but if I do - I hope things are fixed on the slider effectiveness front.

So far, only change was CPU INT from 5 to 30. Having good results. Nice to see zero warping through 10 games.

The CPU run game is explosive, not to mention the option and screen plays. Very fun.

Those are the same exact changes I made, except I bumped cpu tackling to 15, these sliders play fine post patch IMO

Are you sure FG power should be 80 for the user? I hit a 68 yard FG when testing out your sliders.

Personal preference, I like the ball physics on that setting. Drop FGA if you aren't getting a challenge.

Re: Matt10's Heisman sliders (zero based)

Thanks so much Matt. I've been looking for a slider set to use with an offline dynasty. Yours is the first Heisman set I've ever tried (I usually stick with AA sliders). But this set provides such a fluid, unpredictable game. So far in 6 games with UCLA I've:

Gotten a fairly easy win v. Idaho, average stats (that were shockingly well balanced. How on earth I won by 24 with no takeaways and only won the yardage battle by ~25 I have no clue)

Gotten a VERY easy win v. SJSU. I think was up 31-6 at the half, before I just started handing the ball off. Ended up 45-13, I think.

Got DRILLED by Texas IN Pasadena. I don't know if it was those pro-combat unis or what, but I was trailing 24-0 after 1 quarter. I think I outscored them (barely) from then on out, but it never got close. Texas was big. Texas was fast. Texas was VERY pissed off about last year's game in Austin.

Won a great back-and-forth (very Pac-12) game at Oregon St.

Lost a heartbreaker in Palo Alto, 2 OT game that started VERY defensively oriented (was trailing 8 - 5 at the half), but was a very balanced second half. Dropped a pick in the endzone that would have sealed it in the 2nd OT. Total points ended up somewhere just south of 80, which for a 2OT game is pretty solid.

Won a CRAZY shootout v. Washington St. For some reason those spread no huddle offenses give me absolute fits. The upside is that their D was even worse than mine. I think there may have been 3 punts TOTAL in that game.

So, 4-2 through six games, 3 snoozers, 3 really great games. Could easily be 2-4.

The only niggles I have through the first half of the season: UCLA now has the two leading pass rushers in the nation (rated 80 and 79 OVR, both DTs). That could just be because I play D with them pretty much exclusively. 2nd: I've got, by a couple hundred yards, THE worst pass defense in the country. And my play-calling is VERY bland (Lots of Cover 2 / Cover 3 / Cover 2 man under, as many CBs as WRs on anything but 3rd/4th & short, then I'll go one less). And, as previously mentioned, I have no trouble getting to the QB at a realistic rate (Nobody other than those two DTs have more than 2 sacks). The fact that WSU just put up 500 yds on me probably has a lot to do with it, but I was in the bottom third in the country before that game. Then again, UCLA's secondary isn't that good.

Overall, this is easily the most fun I've had playing NCAA in years. Passing really is difficult (I'm a run oriented / high percentage pass kind of guy). With other guys sliders I have no trouble completing 66% or so of my passes with just about any QB. With this set it's a SERIOUS challenge to stay upwards of 55%, and that's a good thing. I love how I have to scheme offensively, find ways to get my only serious offensive playmaker as many touches as I can without wearing him out. Defensively it feels like a well balanced game. I love how you can be dominating for a half on D, the start giving up 8-12 play 80 yd td drives the next half. Or the other way 'round. It's just so much more organic / less predictable than any other slider set I've played on this or any other year of NCAA. Very very VERY well done.

Totally agree with you there Matt. Watch a game and look how many times a kicker misses a field goal short. Not many. I don't get why ppl have that so low. Why not make the accuracy more difficult?

Anyways, great work Matt, love your sliders. They seem to fit me perfectly.
