Can you pass with these? I sit in the pocket and they blanket my WRs...and I'm playing Temple.

I lowered pass coverage to 60 for human and 75 for AI last night. Yeah, I can pass the ball and run the ball too. I actually made running the ball harder, updated on 1st page.

Trying to get the AI offense going a little bit.

Michigan State and Notre Dame...Mainly Michigan STate....

I'm going to just start a dynasty with 6 random teams of varying ability and see what results I get. Getting pretty good results right now, but it was too easy to score so I dumbed the human down a little bit. And it was a hair easy to stop the AI so I gave them a boost.

Do you switch defenders to make tackles? I suggest making a house rule where you player lock on one person.

It will make it much tougher.

Typically, no just use the DT. I will occassionally switch to a defender to take a better angle on a play down field.

Is there any more infor to be had on patch #2. Slider testing and off-line dynasty may be irrelevant at this point.

Re: FistofRages's 2010 Heisman Slider Discussion

My one issue with Heisman:

Some passing plays seem to NEVER work. Hooks are absolutely worthless unless they sit in a zone. Screens are miserable and the CPU is psychic.

My passing #'s are realistic, however, I don't feel like I get them in a realistic manner.

Thoughts after a couple games I've decided to use player lock:
1. CPU rushing game is where it should be. Good teams can have big games and I can still shut down some teams.
2. % of passing is perfect (10 HUM vs 5 CPU)
3. Interceptions are on spot
4. Human rushing might be a little too strong
5. I get some sacks but not many

I will tweak slightly but it will only make minor changes to the game. I'm a satisfied customer.

I just wish they would hurry up and get the patch done. I actually experiemented with varsity and All-American yesterday and can get good realistic results on every level. The problem with varsity is that it may be too easy to pass for the human. Other than that, it felt pretty good. It actually played a tad better than All-American. The run game on both sides of the ball on varsity felt better than AA.

Once the patch is released, I'll have the Heisman sliders nailed down.

Re: FistofRages's 2010 Heisman Slider Discussion

Not sure what you are seeing fist...but I've been playing with Heisman this year, too...and I'm finding that higher run block is just terrible for kick returns. The CPU just pancakes the hell out of you and it allows for big yardage.

To offset, what I've done is lowered CPU run block to the standard 50, but raised RB Ability as high as 90. My run defense is at a 40, currently.

On Kick Returns, instead of pancaking, they simply push the gunners which can allow for a score, but not the numerous times per game as was the standard prior.

For the CPU offense, the run game, especially option are overly functional and productive. Getting the option working for the CPU was paramount as, with lowered RB Ability, it seems that the QB makes bad judgements and doesn't turn upfield when he should. With it high, I'm seeing it work much better for the CPU.
