Re: FistofRages's 2010 Heisman Slider Discussion

I lost 34-31 after being down 34-10 early in the 4th quarter.

Scoring summary:
MIN 44-yd FG | 3-0 MIN
MIN 67-yd TD Pass | 10-0 MIN
MSU 14-yd TD Pass | 10-7 MIN
MSU 9-yd TD Pass | 14-10 MSU
MSU 54-yd FG | 17-10 MSU
MSU 54-yd FG | 20-10 MSU
MSU 34-yd INT TD | 27-10 MSU
MSU 5-yd TD Run | 34-10 MSU
MIN 33-yd TD Pass | 34-18 MSU
MIN 6-yd TD Run | 34-24 MSU
MIN 9-yd TD Pass | 34-21 MSU

I got lucky and recovered an onside kick and scored with :14 left.

My thoughts:
+ The passing game felt great for both. I threw 3 INTs but that's because of defensive pressure and poor decisions. I have a very average secondary and Kirk Cousins is a decent QB. He picked apart my defense but he wasn't perfect.
+ Human run game is flawless. My #1 HB had 17 carries for 72 yards (4.2 avg). MSU has a decent defense and Minnesota has a decent offensive line. I was happy with the numbers.
+ Human pass rush is great. I had 3 sacks in the game, with a mediocre d-line. The sacks came off 2 screen plays and one coverage sack. Screen pass blocking is busted in this game, it's home run or K.

Negative thoughts:
- TWO 54-yd FGs. I know the kicker is rated a 90 but this is on the road. One....maybe...two...no f'n way. He has 91 KPWR and that should not be 54-yd range. The wind was blowing sideways. I will drop it down. HUM FG range was good though. My 43-yd FG barely made it with my average kicker.
- CPU pass rush is too much. There is absolutely no time to get the ball out and find receivers. The press is too strong and you have to wait for WRs to get out of the "I just got jammed" animations. I am gonna drop CPU pass rush or increase HUM pass block. To me this is a must.
- CPU run game. Fist just go back to the settings where they run effectively and let's supersim kickoffs. They are just kickoffs, if a fluke happens where one is returned when I sim then so be it. I'll return kicks myself and hope my CPU players can make the stop. As of right now they never break any big runs on me anyways, so it'll be nice to have a random starting spot on the field for the CPU.

MSU had 87 yards rushing on 34 carries. My defense is not very good, there is no way I should be stuffing people like that.

Overall they were good and those are my suggested changes.

MSU's a tough team to gauge anything by this year, IMO. In real life, we should be above average. But in the game, we're rated pretty bad.

These look good! I will give them a go later today and post results.

As far as QB Accuracy, I think it has to be at 10 at least b/c I have found that when it is at 5 and playing with Ohio State, Terelle Pryor (while not the most accurate QB), consistently misses receivers by 5 yards on throws while rolling out, which is one of his passing strengths. Just my opinion!

Re: FistofRages's 2010 Heisman Slider Discussion

i have tried alot of sliders...so i am going to try these out today. I have having a problem with coverage. I play a D Linemen...sometimes a LB, but the coverage played when i am not controlling a guy is terrible. I have even bumped coverage up on the user, and CPU to 100 and the computer still just picks me apart. Anyone else seeing this? Or is it just me?
