Props on these PM. I play on varisty (i find that players play to their ratings ) and i had a great defensive game Utah @ Oregon in my dynasty 16 -13. The only thing that bothered me was my QB passed for 40%. I thought it was "off" but i'm going to play the whole season first before i up the sliders (could be a case of me not throwing passes in the right spots.)
plus i can run out of shotgun with these. I can't at any other level (or previous NCAA)

good s**t. (one last thing i'm over at Easportsfans and are these the same ones you posted there?) [Reply]

Yep these are the same updated sliders from MaddenPlanet.

I'm going to leave the 1st set posted for those who enjoy that set already.

2nd set which is kinda like a Level 2 will be defensive heavy for the CPU. It will kinda feel like the Madden demo where I get most of my ideas from overnight. [Reply]

Liking these sliders! The only changes i have made is i moved human tackling to 40 and cpu tackling to 45. I also have change the special teams sliders to this:

5/5
30/40
20/20 (may lower this as well)
50/60
60/60

Also are you seeing good pass coverage with it set at 0. Not so sure about this one yet i'll play a few more games and see how it goes. I gave up nearly 200 yds passing to Div. 1AA SE using UGA. I did have my second string in there for more than half the game though [Reply]

Are those numbers correct for Human Passing %?

I'd reccomend that if 5 QBA is too low for some of you guys raise it back up to like 10 or 15.

What i'm noticing is that a guy like Colt McCoy can function very well with a reduced QBA slider because his accuarcy in the game is at 95. The reduced slider only reduces his accuarcy about 10-15% which means he'd still be at like 80-85 accuarcy overall.

Now if a guy has like 80-85 accuarcy rated in the game then he might really struggle with QBA slider at 5 during actual game play. Because then his ratings drop down to like 70-75 Accuarcy and he'll need his WR's to really be good.

That's why I love VARSITY LEVEL.....the ratings transfer over very well to the actual game play once you get close to a percentage of how much the sliders effect a guys ratings on this level.

On Heisman I was always off because EA has this damn hidden boost for the CPU ratings. I lowered QBA to 10 on Heisman and those SOB's were still completing 60-75% of passes. [Reply]

Holy **** I have those same settings for Special teams on my next update. Accept Power is at 0/5 i think

For pass coverage it depends on your DB's ratings. Most guys rated pretty high will stay effective and aware in coverage. I like it at 0 because I have to call the right pass defense that takes into account my DB's ratings and awareness. If i don't have good man coverage corners then I'm playing zone 80% of the time usually Cover 2

I also like because my defenders don't magically be where the ball is thrown all game on this level. My LB's don't become freaks of nature either with eyes in th eback of their heads [Reply]

No the passes were good but the wing backs for navy dropped the passes or got hit an dropped the same guy caught both passes. I feel it is realistic I dont exspect Navy to have a good passing day. They should be around the numbers I had. Dobbs was 9-16 last year with Ohio State speed and tackling i knew they would jar some balls loose. I like these sliders but will try the others also. Also the passing was 2-8 for 35 yards he also ran 26 times for 105 yards if you got those numbers confused. [Reply]

Atlplayboy,

What your starting to see is the same type of game play I was able to create in NCAA 09 with the Alumni roster file you used.

A lot of the ratings that EA increased this year are damn near the exact same ratings I increased on the NCAA 09 roster file. Look at those sliders ratings from the file and then look at these sliders and you'll see it's really the ratings by EA used on the default rosters this year that is allowing the game play to be a huge improvement on the field this year. We just have to modify the sliders to compliment the ratings.

That's why I was such a huge fan of EA finally jacking up the ratings because I know how they IMPACT the actual game play on the field. Most people are complaining how much it effect DYANSTY mode but they are OVERLOOKING how much the ratings increase plays out on the field which is what I care the most (GAMEPLAY).

The running game just feels so much smoother when guys aren't always going for the big hit and you take away that rugby feel. The CPU and Human RB's will be able to get extra yards in more realistic fluid way during the game.

Reducing the blocking sliders down is what allows the suction blocking to be reduced and then you'll see defenders come off blocks without being sucked back into the man. You can now rack up double digits tackle numbers with your LB's when the Blocking sliders are set low. You just have to know what your doing with the Tackle sliders and RBA slider [Reply]
