New Sliders. Try Em

After hours on end in practice and play now games with various strong and weak teams, I finally decided to implement some sliders I developed into my dynasty and boy was I amazed. I won 62-28, but the score of the game doesnt really tell the story of how well it played.

We recorded 4 sack apiece. I seen the cpu throw the ball away 3 times! I was amazed. And instead of diving forward or takin a big hit they slid.
WRs from both teams dropped a few wide open passes as well. Things that you see every Saturday

Im in the 5th year of 0 losses in my dynasty. I use Hawaii and played vs Oregon in Hawaii with HFA on. I am an 87 ovr team and Oregon is an 84 ovr tea, but they run a spread option and its very easy to stop on any level with any sliders. Trust me on this one!

This the set:
-AA Level
-10 minute quarters. 7-9 minutes if you want to play more games in a given time frame
-All penalties set to 95 besides roughing the kicker and passer. Keep those at default
-HFA ON, Injuries ON, QB Quiz OFF.

You/Cpu

Offense
QB Acc-35/35
Pass blk-0/0
WR Cth-20/15
RBA-45/60
Run Blk-25/90

Defense
Awr-50/90
KD-100/100
Int-0/0
BB-40/90
Tkl-30/50

Special Teams Is Universal
FGP-25
FGA-20
PP-35
PA-35
KOP-70

It felt sooo good to actually have to put drives together and to see a LB with 14 tackles instead of a CB or SS with that many. I had 3 drives that were 12+ plays. Only two plays of 30 or more yards. My longest run was about 14-15 yards. All others were hard fought for 3-5 yards. CPU had great pass rush the entire game and it forced me throw some very ill advised passes which was great!

Please guys. If you have the time give these a try. I know we all have different tastes and are on different spectrums as far as the gaming world is concerned, but these are definitely worth a shot.

Thanks

Haven't tried them yet, but doubt I'd ever give up 300+ pass yards on AA with QBA at 35 and user AWR and KND up. Not to mention the 5 INTs per game I'd probably get.

Those passing yards came off of blown coverages. Their offense was waaaay faster than my defense. And my guys swatted the ball 9/10. When they did try to pick it of they dropped it every time but once. the other pick was user. Did that by mistake becuz I usually swat. I had 7 deflections, the cpu threw it away 3 times, 2 picks, and there were 2 drops by Oregon's WRs. If you find yourself getting too many picks drop the AWR and KD by 20 points apiece. I just kept Awr at default so my guys would at least attempt to move around in the zones instead of sitting in one spot

Re: New Sliders. Try Em

I tried them, using 10 minutes. They worked as I felt like I can finally be stopped on offense, and could actually have both a rush and a passing defense. But the CPU's playcalling blows that i couldnt really get a full taste of the sliders, since the playcalling was probably 75/25 run. I used them in my Miami dynasty, and beat Wake Forest, by a score of 51-24. I just wish the game would have been alittle closer. If the game wasnt such a blowout, the sliders would be perfect. I dont remember all the stats, but Jacory Harris threw for around 310 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT and ran for 50 yards, on 10 or 11 carries. Javarris James ran for 140 on 35 carries, i think. Robert Marve, my original starter before getting injured for 3 weeks was 5-10 with 50 yards, 1 TD and 2 INT's.

Thanks for givin em a try. And yes I agree, CPU play calling sucks! But from my personal experience, the CPU play calling sucks on every level and every down besides 4th down. 4 some reason the CPU makes an awesome play call on 4th down.

Re: New Sliders. Try Em

Isn't there a sliders SECTION of the FORUM for this? You posted this there first, why double post in this section? Further, why hasn't this been locked yet?

Re: New Sliders. Try Em

These are very specific slider threads though Young J. I agree that they should be kept in the slider forum. I actually think both of your slider threads should be merged somehow if that's possible. Otherwise you are debating the same thing twice.

I think if you want a challenge though you will need to move to Heisman. You are still killing teams on AA with your own sliders. Honestly, when you play with even teams, the final scores should be close and they haven't been for you when reading your other threads. I know you don't like certain things on Heisman but that's the only level that will give you a challenge imo. Otherwise you will continue to beat the cpu by 20+ points every time.
