Best Sliders/Level for defensive games?

what do you guys think is the best level and set of sliders for more of a defensive game. i`m just getting more points than i would like and the computer is scoring to much. Im currently playing on heisman. It seems like every QB i play completes about 70% of their passes.

I think it's harder to control the cpu offense on Heisman but on AA, their offense can be too crappy. I think if you are having some good games then just stick with Heisman and accept that the scores will be higher.

You can crank up defensive awareness on both sides to help limit the passing game (along with dropping QB accuracy and WR catch). That might help you.

Best way I've found to limit user scoring:

CPU Tackling: Keep above 75
CPU Knockdowns: Keep above 60
User QB Accuracy: Keep below 50
User RB Ability: Keep below 50
User Pass Block: Keep below 40
User Run Block: Keep below 40
User WR Catch: Keep below 10

How much above/below those numbers will depend on how good you are at offense on the game. I'm against turning CPU Awareness too high because this seems to lead to absurd and very unrealistic ball actions by defenders. I'm also against turning the CPU Interception slider to any setting above 5 because the CPU will still intercept every ball that they should with the setting at 0.

I haven't really had problems stopping the CPU offense. My main challenge has been to get the CPU running game to improve without seeing 85 SPD players outrun my 90 SPD players while they break 7 tackles per play. I've found a comfort zone, but if you're having problems stopping the CPU then I'm guessing you just need to work on your defensive skills or you're playing high powered offenses.

Getting lower CPU completion percentages usually means getting more user INTs, so I sacrifice some in this category. In college football this year, the total combined completion percentage is 59.5%. I haven't checked this out fully, but I doubt the percentage is that low using the ingame sim engine.

I agree on both points. I think it's impossible to get the cpu to maintain a consistently successful ground game. You have to boost their RBA high to improve it which usually results in a more feast or famine type of rushing attack.

The completion percentages are high on the game and that's partially due to the lack of deep ball attempts by the cpu. It's very hard to lower that without increasing INTs as most balls end up hitting someone in the hands.
