Keyser Soze Sliders and Rules

Ok, this is still a work in progress but I am close (I hope). I have come up with something that challenges my stick skill abilities and seems to compensate for the lack of CPU AI the best that I can. The house rules are mainly for compensating for the AI

First the house rules:

1) No manual motioning (too easy to create mismatches)
2) No formations that have empty backfield or 4 WRs on the field (CPU just puts too many slow guys on fast guys to have fun. Throw in all the CPU CB blitzes and the game is broken. 3WR sets don't have nearly the same problem)
3) No calling a run and then audible to a pass) Since CPU knows your play they will come out in a run heavy formation and then if you audible to a pass there will be too many mismatches)
4) No offensive player with greater then B+ speed (90 SPD or 4.35 forty)
5) No hot routing RBs to anything other then block (too easy to throw HB out routes all day)
6) No formation with 3 WRs on same side (CPU puts LB on side slot WR a TON)
7) No PA pass to the RBs in the flats or TE delay routes as both are money
8) No HB screens (play is either -5 or big yards every time. wr screen is in though)

v-1.2 (9/13/08)
7 min Heisman
Ice kicker on
HFA on
QB quiz OFF

Offense (HUM/CPU)
QBA 45/45
PBL 0/0
CTH 0/0
RBA 50/50
RBL 25/100

Defense (HUM/CPU)
AWR 50/85
KND 90/95
INT 0/0
BB 40/95
TAK 25/25

Special Teams (HUM/CPU)
FGP 5/5
FGA 5/5
PP 50/50
PA 50/50
KOP 65/65

My goal is to tweak up the CPU offense a little yet and tweak my offense down just a hair yet. After I do this I will be set. I will edit these when I do and change the version number.

You can't post a slider set without any statistics, Keyser. Come on, get with the program.

who cares what my personal stats are? That is completely irrelevant to anyone else as everyone will be different. do you just post to hear yourself post?

Re: Keyser Soze Sliders and Rules

why do stats matter? just trying to get a competitive good game vs the CPU. how about this.

Hum: 300 yards passing, 120 yds rushing
CPU: 300 yards passing, 120 yds rushing

Score 24 - 24 tie.

Does that make you want to adopt these? LOL, I don't try to SELL my sliders, simply posting in case anyone wants to try them as a starting place since that is how I use other people's work.

Do some fake stats you just made up make me want to adopt these? Um, no.

Yeah, I get it. It's not complicated. Neither is a request for stats.

Nevermind, I guess.

Dude, your getting a tad bit surly. If you don't care what others think, why post the sliders in the first place? I try to get a good base going and get some feedback. I think stats are a prettyu good place to start. We all know everyone plays different so no slider set is going to be the best for different people, but at the same time, if for example someone can run a fly pattern and complete it 80% with a set of sliders I'm testing I want to know that.

whoa, Greg, whats up with this? what difference does it make what stats I put up as they ALL simply come down to house rules. I can pretty much put up any stats I want. What do you want me to have? I can throw for 600+ per game easy if I want to, unless I house rule it out.

stats simply come down to how people play the game this year vs. the CPU because the CPU does zero learning, its purely around down and distance plus a randomization. i can make my stats read whatever you want them to read as far as passing goes. running i would say i get around 4.2 yards/carry but again, I run ONLY out of SG and can increase that from under center so to post stats are 100% worthless IMO unless you know exactly how someone plays. recording game play would go a long way but i simply don't have that technology to share that.

i just think people put way too much emphasis on stats on OTHERS games because they are 100% based on how they play. when stewaat posts his stats they are meaningless because i bet if you offered him $1/yard in a game he would easily double them. it all comes down to what you allow yourself to do UNLESS you state that you are going ALL OUT. then and only then do stats make any point at all. if i go all out and post stats, you would throw up.
