Heisman vs. AA. Help please!

I need some AA help. In NCAA'08 I played on AA. In '09 pre-patch I played on Heisman. Post-patch I just finished the last 9 games of my 3rd season on AA.

Have any of you lost a fair number of games on AA? Do you feel like the AA games are "scripted" to make sure that you win?

On Heisman, many complain because they feel some games are "scripted" to make sure you lose. Some games feel like the CPU team is saying "Yeah I know you've dominated me all game, but this is Heisman difficulty so I'm all of the sudden going to move the ball when I couldn't before and stop you when I couldn't before."

Has anyone noticed the opposite on All American? I've had some good close games, but I've won every one of them (9) on AA. If it's close, I'm always able to "pull it out" at the end. The kicker was in the final game. It was me (#14 Michigan) at #1 West Virginia. WVU scored on the first 3 drives to make it 21-0 and Led by 3 TDs at the half. After 3 I was down by 17 I think. In the 4th quarter, I scored on EVERY drive and shut them down on all but 1 drive. I could do no wrong in the 4th quarter and it was not in the least bit exciting because, after 8 previous games on AA, I knew that I would "pull it out" by some miracle, regardless of how stupidly I played. I ended up winning 49-45.

So, are you able to lose games where you have played poorly all game going into the 4th quarter, or are you able to pull games out regardless of how poorly you play?

Re: Heisman vs. AA. Help please!

I can't remember the last time I lost on AA.....

last year I played using playmakers sliders on AA...my record was 89-13.

It does sometimes seem like 'I can NOT believe that just happened' on Heisman. But its worth it to actually lose sometimes.

I played a game in my online dynasty today where it felt like the CPU was saying' you aren't going to win this one.' But I pulled it out with a last second TD drive. There were alot of 4th quarter scores, and I actually got the last one.

If you have been playing this game for the last 5 years, and ALOT, and you haven't gone to heisman, it's probably time, because for some reason, on AA, you're right, you just seem to 'pull it out'.

Re: Heisman vs. AA. Help please!

My first dynasty was with Idaho (60 something OVR) and my first year I went 11-1 in the regular season on AA. The game I lost was vs Fresno St. and my starting QB and RB went down for the game. Idaho should not go 11-1 ever in the first season. So I started my PITT dynasty on Heismen and I lost 4 games my first year to Iowa, Louisville, Cinnci and UCONN. Felt much more realistic. So yeah, I only play on Heismen now.

Re: Heisman vs. AA. Help please!

I got realistic W/L records on Heisman. I play as Michigan and I did this:
2008: 8-5(5-3)
2009: 9-3(5-3)
2010: 2-1 (Heisman pre-patch), then I switched to AA post-patch and went 10-0.

The problem is that I don't like the feel of the Ws and Ls on Heisman. I have a lot of close games (including a lot that shouldn't be close) and quite often I feel some "comeback logic" kicking in. I could be crushing a bad team only to have them go bezerk in the 4th quarter.

I was hoping to duplicate the same W/L % I had on Heisman while using All American sliders, but I haven't had any luck. It feels like the same "comeback logic" is in AA, only it's pulling for me instead of the CPU.

Has anyone gotten decent W/L %s while playing on All American?

EDIT:
There were games on AA where I was thinking, "Cool. I'm playing at Illinois (@ Purdue, hosting MSU, hosting PSU, @ #1 WVU) and I'm down and going to lose. At least I know I can lose on AA" but I pulled every one of those games out in the end. The WVU one was the most ridiculous as I was down by 3 TDs a couple of times and I went on to score about 5 TDs in the 2nd half to win (after being held in check by the #2 defense in the country for the entire first half).

Re: Heisman vs. AA. Help please!

I play on Heisman with default sliders and it's still realistic. I lost my first game to Kansas State in my North Texas dynasty, then the next game I won against Tulsa. To get the best challenge and most realistic results, play on Heisman.
