Re: Accurate Run/Pass ratios for Dynasty Mode

Question...in terms of the issues w/ the CPU running the ball...In real-life who are the programs which are predominantly running teams (l don't watch enough college football to know who are the top running teams).

I guess I'm just looking to make sure at least those teams are accurate in their running games (attempt wise).

As for the list...Is that slider # meant for the run slider or the pass slider?

Pretty anyteam in the big 10 except Purdue. Navy, Georgia Tech, Texas.

When you put these in there is only one number in the game.

There is no separate run/pass slider. It's one slider.

Re: Accurate Run/Pass ratios for Dynasty Mode

WOW glad to here my coaching sliders still work in 09 as I have not done this since NCAA07 last GEN....My sliders from 04-07 was mainly for in game play NOT SIM stats....the older versions of NCAA, teams would play to their realistic run/pass ratio when simming meaning if you set it at 50/50 that team would run/pass 50/50 of the time but when u PLAYED the game it would be totally different more like a 70/30 ratio depending on the playbook.....NOW with nex gen NCAA we now have SUPER SIM so teams are simming base on wat they have in their playbook HENCE why Hookems sliders are working for BOTH IN GAME and SIM....dont know why EA havent notice or fix this.... guess thats why we are here......Hope this clears it up

JUkeman did nice work, but DO NOT use his settings for 09. They make the CPU playcalling really bad on 3rd down. They run it on 3rd and 8 like 60% of the time.

Once again, no offense to Jukeman, but they don't work as well in 09.

Re: Accurate Run/Pass ratios for Dynasty Mode

Hi. I'm new to changing the run/pass team sliders and have a question.

For predominately running teams, how do you keep their main guy from getting too many carries?

I experimented with Air Force. When I used Hookem's number they went from ~300 passes in 2008 to 175 passes in 2008. They also had over ~580 rushes which is pretty close to Air Force's actual percents from 2007. The problem, however is that in the game, Air Force's #1 HB had 407 carries for 2166 yards while the #1 rusher for Air Force last year only had 230 carries of Air Force's 660 total carries.

I like how I can make Air Force actually run the ball (without changing this, they threw more than they ran vs. the 77% run/pass ratio they had in 2007), but the CPU didn't spread the carries around so I ended up with a near NCAA record breaking season total by an 82 overall HB.

How can you make the CPU spread the carries around?

Still not grasping where the slider needs to be set at.
(for example) Air Force pass% is 23% and run is 77% do I need to move the slider left and set it at 23 in order to get them to run a majority of the time?

Thanks in advance.
