What I'm using now (AA)

**POST PATCH 2 // UPDATED 09/02**

* 8 Min Qtrs

*Note* It seems like home field advantage is even more prevalent now. Please keep this in mind when evaluating.

(HUMAN LISTED FIRST)

OFFENSE
QB Accuracy - 40/40
Pass Block - 50/45
WR Catching - 0/0
RB Ability - 55/65
Run Blocking - 55/60

DEFENSE
Awareness - 50/45
Knockdowns - 50/50
Interceptions - 0/0
Break Block - 50/0
Tackling - 25/15

SPECIAL TEAMS
FG Power - 0/0
FG Accuracy - 0/15
Punt Power - 0/0
Punt Accuracy - 10/30
Kickoff Power - 50/50

I have all penalties at 95. It might be placebo but at 90 or 100 I get none. At 95 I get about 6 a game....better than none.

**IMPORTANT**
Also maybe placebo but I have roughing the passer at 0. It just seems like I get better D line pressure with that setting. I've had as many as 5 sacks with that setting.

Subs is preference.

I bring out the HB at 80, in at 90
WR out at 75, in at 85
D-line out at 75 in at 85

Hope this can help.

Re: What I'm using now (AA)

Wow, I was just getting ready to try your Heisman sliders only to see that you abandoned those and are now using these, Im obviously late to the party. I take it your enjoying these more then those obviously? Im just trying to make due with what we have in its current form from EA because obviously its not going to get patched anytimes soon unfortunatly.

EDIT- Is there any chance I can get you to elaborate on why you ditched Heisman for All-American? I have always played All-American in the past but it seems like more and more people are playing on Heisman to try and get a better game, sliders are starting to drive me nuts with sports games anymore.

IMHO you have to play Heisman to get a good game. AA is not challenging at all. You can make it challenging...but you have to let off the gas.

Personally I want a slider set where I HAVE to play well to beat a team better than me. I couldn't get that on AA and even now I'm really struggling finding it on Heisman. These look very, very similar to what I'm going with and I'm pretty sure they are sticking with me.

How challenging are you finding the CPU Jistic? im tired of getting whooped by the superman like A.I. in Heisman, but also sick of dominating A.A. and seriously thinking of trading this game for Madden. Ill give these a shot.

Re: What I'm using now (AA)

Funny, these are pretty much exactly what I'm using for AA. Been researching different sets and settled on something exactly like this. The only thing I have a bit different is break block at 50 and run blocking at 75 to try and give a bit more power to the CPU's running game without making it too easy for the human. Played Idaho at San Diego St. (me) and I won 42-17, which was very misleading as I had 2 goal line stands and a pick 6 when Idaho was moving in to score. Plus I picked up a fumble and ran it back 80 yards on the last play, so it was about as misleading a 25 point win as you can get.

Early observations with these sliders are a fun game. CPU has been successful running and passing. Might be a bit too many wide open big plays on both sides, but that seems to just be a part of the game. I may raise awareness a bit, but don't want to develop a turnover fest. In the game I mentioned above there were already 5 with 3 returned for TD's.

I'll check this out. Is the cpu running game good? Around 3.5 to 4.5 yards per carry average?

Gonna give these a whirl tonight in a dynasty game. I find Heisman a little too juiced as well, but AA seems a little too easy this year.

Re: What I'm using now (AA)

Nobody seems to be posting about these sliders and Im playing using them right now, just finished the 1st quarter against Washington and they arent bad so far. The one downside, I still feel like the passing game is far too easy, Im not trying to throw 4 yard passes all the way down the field but, lets face it, Im not going to air it out everytime either and so far Im not seeing much of an in-between passing game either. At the end of the first quarter Im losing 7-6, a few stats for the quarter and then I will update at the end of the game...

Cody Kempt (QB, OR) 7/11 74 Yards 63% Completion
Jake Locker (QB, Was) 4/7 49 Yards 1 TD 1 INT 57% Completion

Legarrette Blount (HB, OR) 4 Carries 18 Yards 4.5 Per Carry
Aaron Pflugard (WR, OR) 1 Carry 3 Yards

JR Hasty (HB, Was) 5 Carries 19 Yards 3.8 Per Carry
Luke Kravitz (FB, Was) 2 Carries 20 Yards 10.0 Per Carry
Brandon Johnson (HB, Was) 1 Carry -3 Yards -3.0 Per Carry

Total Plays
Oregon 16
Washington 15

Total Offense
Oregon 95
Washington 85

In all honesty, if I can figure out a way to somehow either restrict myself in the passing game or make it so it doesnt feel so easy then Im golden. They are rushing the ball in spurts but its better then previously, they are throwing fine but not robotic as some mention, Im running fine and the defenses are making plays. Special teams seems fine as well, one punt by Washington went out of bounds so cant test that, 3 kickoffs and neither team has gotten much past the 30 anyways and that was with me returning one using speed burst from the start. Maybe I suck, it could be that everyone here is light years better then me but as of right now Im really enjoying these sliders and the game far more then I was previously.

EDIT- Jumped the gun a bit as I ran 2 more plays before the quarter ended so Ive updated my stats above. Keep in mind, I went 1/2 throwing since then but one was under pressure and my receiver seemed to run the wrong route for some reason. Total plays are spot on currently with it at 9 minutes if anyone was wondering.

Re: What I'm using now (AA)

Here is my update after the one game, its going into OT but I figured if I posted after OT it wouldnt do much good for showing how it played through regulation.

Total Plays
Oregon 57
Washington 70

Oregon
Cody Kempt 24/38 264 Yards 0 TD 0 INT 63 % Completion Sacked 4 times
Legarrette Blount 16 Carries 93 Yards 5.8 Per Carry 1 TD Long of 29
Cody Kempt 2 Carries -2 Yards -1.0 Per Carry
Aaron Pflugrad 1 Carry 3 Yards 3.0 Per Carry

Washington
Jake Locker 18/29 210 Yards 2 TDs 3 INTs 62 % Completion Sacked Once
JR Hasty 18 Carries 80 Yards 4.4 Per Carry Long of 10
Luke Kravitz (FB) 15 Carries 75 Yards 5.0 Per Carry Long of 19
Jake Locker 6 Carries -1 Yards -0.1 Per Carry Long of 5
Vince Taylor (WR) 1 Carry 28 Yards
Brandon Johnson 1 Carry -3 Yards

This was using the exact sliders Jistic has above couple with Jukemans team tendancies being changed for Washington for the game and as you can see Washington ran the ball 41 times and passed 29 times, thats absolutly awesome. Locker was a little sloppy and it was raining so maybe thats why he threw so poorly at times but Im loving it right now. Going into OT its 17-17 as Washington kicked a FG with 7 seconds left after holding them on my 2 yard line for 3 straight plays. I dont know how these sliders arent getting more attention or more play because they are working out fantastic so far. Like I said previously, I may just suck since I dont do a ton of audibles on defense or offense, I move my lines around at times and will hot route players occasionaly but I basically run with Corso picking my plays on both sides of the ball and I just attempt to execute, it works for me atleast.

EDIT- I won it in OT, got them to take a FG but they had a holding penalty that pushed them out of range, next play they tried to go deep and he missed his man by a mile and it was picked. I took over and got into the endzone after 4 plays and that was it, final score 23-17 in OT. A few other stats in case anyone wants to know....

Total turnover was 6 (5 by Washington- 4 INT 1 Fumble)
Total Penalties called was 11 (5 on Washington 6 on Oregon)

That was a blast, best game Ive played of NCAA 09 so far, thanks Jistic for sharing your sliders with the community.
