Re: What I'm using now (AA)

Im in the middle of my first whipping on the CPU, Im playing at home against Boise St and its 34-7 in the 3rd quarter. Boise St is missing their starting QB and the backup is a Sophomore, so if its like last years game, he is rattled beyond belief at this point and things are only going to get worse. I really think part of the problem is the home field advantage is over done again, I dont mind when Im the victim of it, but the CPU just goes stupid when one bad things happens to them. Has anyone with 2 controllers ever taken control of the CPU's team in a game and subbed out their QB when he was really struggling? Ive thought about it since this game their QB is currently 6/15 for 108 yards, 1 TD and 3 INT's, but I wanted to hear what others have seen when doing this. The guy playing and the 3rd stringer arent far apart ratings wise so it would be nice to see the CPU make the decision to do it on their own instead of me having to force them to do it.

I have thought that it may help to turn HFA off. The only problem with that of course is that it may make the CPU weaker when you are on the road. I guess it could be turned off for home games and on when we are on the road. Just a thought...

I thought about doing that as well but from the description it made it sound like it only effected the human, not the CPU. It might be worth a shot at some point if the trend of playing really well at home but struggling on the road continues. To be fair Boise St is the same offensively as Oregon but their defense isnt very good and their starting QB was out for the game so I dont want to go too overboard with this but if it starts happening to teams like USC then we may have a problem.

Re: What I'm using now (AA)

Just to follow up on that game, Boise St must have been rattled, I may have to consider one of the two methods mentioned above, the final score wasnt bad considering 1 TD was on a kickoff return when I completely forgot to supersim it and instead ran it back 99 yards for the score, oops, lol. Here are the stats...

Oregon
Cody Kempt 22/29 305 Yards 3 TD's 1 INT 75% Completion
Darron Thomas 2/2 24 Yards
L. Blount 20-72 3.6 Per Carry

Boise St.
M. Coughlin 17/34 214 Yards 2 TD's 5 INT's
Ian Johnson 17-54 3.1 Per Carry

Total Plays
Oregon 61
Boise St 60 (34 Pass/26 Run)

Im not going to type everything out like I have but suffice it to say that Boise St never really got going, they hooked up on a 67 yard TD on a slant when I was blitzing but after that they didnt do anything until I stopped giving a **** basically. Good game for the most part, 5 picks is too high for the CPU but with him being a Soph. and playing in Eugene (5th toughest place to play on game) I guess I can see why he struggled. Whats funny is he could have thrown 10-15 picks if it wasnt for my guys dropping them, it would have really been ugly then.

Lol, this is going to be a fun game.

San Diego State[me] versus FCS SE in my new Dynasty.

35 - 0 at the end of the first quarter. 254 yards of total offense compared to 54. If I continue like this 1000+ yards of offense, lol.

Edit: Finished the game, with 136 points, held them to 0 and had 1100+ total yards(754 of offense). 3 Special Teams touchdowns, 1 kick return and two punt returns.

In all honesty, Im not sure if there are any sliders out there that will solve this problem. I refuse to play any FCS teams, they provide zero challenge and I will be bored before the first quarter is over and that doesnt interest me at all.

Lol, I figured it would have been a blow out, just wanted to play the game for the hell of it just to see how easy it would be. I even put in my second team and still destroyed them. I know my next games will be harder playing with SDSU.

Re: What I'm using now (AA)

I just beat Vanderbilt 49-14, I was South Carolina. It was not even close. I think first downs were 22-3. I maxed out the aggressiveness slider for Vandy, that did not seem to make any difference. I am not going to mess with or ditch sliders yet. Next game will tell, I play UGA. I just can't get this game right on AA and Heisman just seems too difficult with the CPU scoring at will.

Not really, not until they patch it so the CPU sliders actually control the CPU.
