That said, USC's defensive line should probably have its way with Hawaii's offensive line on several plays. I couldn't even get there on blitzes. However, with the pass block at 0 and me as Florida St., I had trouble getting to Utah's QB. I basically played both of those games to see if a good D-line could get to an average team's QB. Conclusion: The same as everyone else who has played this game. Pressure on the QB is an issue regardless of matchup and slider setting.

I believe human running is simply too tough with these settings. It seems that if awareness is going to be jacked (I agree it has to be to a degree or the CPU just shreds you), run blocking must be raised to at least 50, maybe more. Joe McKnight (USC) had 83 yards on 14 carries for me. That doesn't sound bad, but 60 of those yards were on 2 carries and even on those he had to juke 3 guys at the line of scrimmage to get free. Seen this in several other games where a team should have a huge advantage over the D running the ball. Realistically USC would have some plays where the O-line creates a gaping hole for the back and a juke wouldn't be required until he it the secondary. This didn't happen once. I don't remember a play where a defender wasn't in position to make a tackle within 2 yards of the line of scrimmage.

The one other consistent I'm noticing with these sliders is a pick 6 fest at times. This might be another one of those things that's just going to be an issue similar to pass rush. I think I'm going to attempt putting knockdowns back to 95-100 just to see if that cuts down on the picks a bit.

Not ripping the sliders as I think you have some great things here, just sharing things I've seen.
Put the Awareness back down to 65 and break block at 100. Adjust run blocking to whatever you would like but I still get decent holes with where it is at and the AI can still run the ball. I wouldn't put KD's up above 75 or it will totally take away the deep ball against decent teams. Pass Block needs to be at 0, but even there, you don't get much pressure.

QB 45
PB 0
WR C 5
RBA 45
Run Block 5

Awr 65
KD 50
INT 0
Break Block 100
Tackiling 20

FG Acc 5
FG length 20
KO length 60
PA 50
PL 50

I am not suprised that you get pick 6's with USC. They have a great D and the computer will make some bad throws. Jump the route, you are gone. I normally only see 1 or 2 picks per game.

Choking on Applesauce? Please tell me that's from that radio host who melted down on-air after the Notre Dame game! I have that clip on my Itunes and while I wanted MSU to win, and I feel the guys pain, it's some of the best radio I've ever heard.

Sorry to hijack your thread but I couldn't help it.

I want to throw my hat in the ring and help you nail these down ASAP as well Irish. Since I run the spread I can be another spread tester.

The one game that I have played so far I found good and bad with the slider setup.

Good: lots of dropped passes for me but not so much for the CPU. CPU seemed like a real thread on offense.

Bad: Even my all american sure tacklers seemed to randomly miss tackles regardless of the match up. It would be one thing if they were getting thrown off by a top notch RB but when a skinny frail WR throws them off it kinda sickens me.

Lets chat tonight when you are on.

Yes, we choke on apple sauce, baby food and anything else that enables STate to snatch defeat from the Jaws of victory. We got out coached by LLoyd Carr 6 straight years. Thats pretty hard to do without choking on something.

Re: FistofRage's Heisman sliders...

Here are why my sliders are where they are at.....

QB Acc 45 - Has to be right about there to still be able to throw the long ball and still not be perfect.

PB 0 - Have to do it to get a pass rush.

WRC - 5 Needs to be low so every pass isn't caught

RBA - 40 to 45 any more than this and they will be faster than defenders with equal or greater speed. AI also seems to ghost juke at higher levels. AI seems to run well at this level.

Run Block 5 - I have it at 5 because otherwise I can run dive plays all day long for 4 + yards. The line blocks decent enough. A good back will get the corner, an average back will not.

Def Awr - Here is where I am stuck. I think it needs to be a minimum of 60 or 65, but having in the 90's may tighten the game up too much.

KD - I think they need to be fairly high, but much above 70 and the long ball is gone.

Break Block - Needs to be at 100

Tackling 20 - At this level a power back is worth having on your team. It also helps the AI get realistic rushing stats with a good back. Any more than this and the power back is out of the equation and you just have to recruit speed. The last thing I want is a game solely based on speed.

Appreciate it. I think we may have to investigate the Run Block slider again. I can run decent enough with it at 5, but the AI may need a boost. Lets start at 50.

thx but i would NOT hold your breath considering this game is sooooooo messed up to start and EA admits that they didn't even check to see if sliders WORK. they should be the ones balancing the games and then sliders should be a simple tweak for stick skillz but when they don't balance a game AND they don't even make the sliders do anything, i believe its a lost cause to try. yeah, i am extremely frustrated with EA and their total lack of effort.

Re: FistofRage's Heisman sliders...

Wow, played 2 very fun games with these sliders last night. Only huge problem that I still see is with CPU play calling (like running lots of QB option plays with a super slow QB) and CPU INTs. I don't believe that sliders can address either of these as you already have INTs at 0 and there is nothing we can do about stupid CPU play calling.

Great sliders Fist, thanks!
