OK, I did some more testing last night. With RBA around 40, the AI seems to run more North and South with less juking. The downside is, you have to drop awareness to about 25 or the defense gets too much of a speed boost.

Break Block needs to be 95/100 and pass block needs to be 0/5 to get reasonable pressure.

So I changed the sliders a little for now.

QBA 45/45
Pass Block 0
WR Catch 5
RBA 40
RB Block 75

Defense Awr 25
KD 95
INT 0
BB 95
Tackling 20

What I have found is that the line will block pretty decent on running plays, but you have to make a move with your RB to Spring him. I also found this to be a setting where Players Speed matches their ratings. I.E. I saw Trent of Michigan Speed 95, Rund Down Javon Ringer Speed 90 from behind after about 30 yards. I also had Javon break a 67 yard run where noone was even near him after he got by the bitzing safety.

I honestly think if you just keep adjusting sliders at this point, you will always end up back in the same place. For a couple reasons:

1. We all know the pass rush is weak so you have to adjust pass block and break block.
2. The defensive awareness can not be higher than RBA or the defense will get a speed advantage over the AI.
3. Knockdowns need to be high because this also effects how closely the defender will guard the receiver.
4. INT needs to be low.
5. QB accuracy also effects arm strength so it needs tyo be at least 40 to support deep throws.
And Finally:
6. All sliders are based off of human as far as we know so for the time being you have to put all sliders the same for Human and CPU. So this makes it impossible to completely customize the game.

All I know is right now, with these sliders, the game plays better than default.

I will say that I also tried using "0" sliders and got some pretty decent results. But they needed some tweaking so I started adjusting from there. I have put in 20+ games which isn't even close enough to test everything I want because sometimes I get really good games and sometimes I see ROBO QB, no sacks. Sometimes I see good punt coverage, sometimes I see no one around for 50 yards. It does get perplexing.

SOme of the sliders like RBA are real responsive where break block and run block sliders are pretty subtle.

I may have stumbled on something huge. I have to do a few tests, but if it works, we may have a pretty decent fix until the patch comes. I'll post my findings either way once I can verify.

Can't wait to see what it is. I hope it's a better cpu running game or lower completion percentage for the cpu.

You can't just throw that out there and not mention what you're testing. You must give the slider junkies (myself included) a fix.

Thats exactly what I'm working on. I have found that the Run block slider MAY also help the AI pass block so I'm dropping that way down. I'm also finding that the AI doesn't do better at RBA above 45, 40 may be optimal.

You also have to change the AI coaching tendencies in dynasty. Move them left 1 click for balanced and running teams and 2 clicks left for spread and west coast teams.

The Awaareness sliders helps the defensive angles as well so jack that up to 85+ and the knockdowns should be at around 5, and talkling should be around 20, no higher.

These aren't going to be perfect, I need a slider patch so I can independently move the CPU sliders, but these are making a difference.

Still need to do more tests it seems to be helping.

Not getting a whole lot of pressure on the QB in the form of sacks, but have had them rush some throws that fall to the ground. They also seem to be going deep a little more, 3 or 4 times a game.


Cal just ran on me alot while completeing 55% of its passes. 30+ carries 180 yards rushing.

OK play these in Dynasty Mode

First of all, you have to go into coaches strategy and for all teams with spread or West Coast move Run/Pass 2 clicks to the left. All others 1 click.

For all spread teams and known passing teams you can also raise aggressiveness 1 click to the right.

QB 45
PB 0
WR C 5
RBA 40
Run Block 10

Awr 50
KD 5
INT 0

In the games I have played so far, the AI can and will run the ball. There appears to be no speed cheat at this time. The "Ghost Jukes" have pretty much disappeared. If you raise it past 40, good backs will juke in the hole. If a good back gets outside, he will most likely run through the corners and make them look stupid leading to big gains.

I can get pressure on the qb and I see some missed throws. I can get some sacks. A good QB will still complete a fairly high percentage of passes but I see games where they are in the 50% range.

The human can still run the ball effectively, against good teams you may get shut down, but thats life. You can throw the deep ball effectively, but you don't end up completing a ton of them, but a quick receiver will get behind the D sometimes.

One very important thing Never call the same defensive play twice in a row or you will see Robo QB

These sliders provide a decent challenging game, but you won't get dead on sim stats because there are a few things I would like to change but can't because I'm limited by the slider bug and some programming.

I know these won't be for everyone, test these out a minimum of 3 full games before you give up on them because I have seen a broad spectrum of results. If you blitz alot, you will give up big chunks of yardage, so if you blitz do so from the weak side because they will tear you up if you are out of position.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks. I'll check these out. Do you think these coaching startegies will work too Accurate Run/Pass ratios for Dynasty Mode?
