I played another game with these. Complete opposite of my last game, which was a defensive struggle. This was an offensive shootout, but not of the passing variety. OSU vs Pitt. McCoy just straight up dominated me for near 200 yards. Beanie Wells just had a better game and I barely won. I love how difficult these games are.

Wow just lost 28-21 with Arizona against Oregon State. It was a defensive game and both teams scored a garbage TD late.

I am struggling running the ball!

Oregon State and me are both 8-3 after this game and it was at their place. Their QB wasn't robo but he had a really good game...he had 3 TDs, no picks.

I sacked him 3 times...all were legit...no screen sacks! One was on a corner blitz too!

Re: FistofRage's Heisman sliders...

Another GREAT game:

After a defensive game I just posted I had an offensive game against #14 Arizona St. at their place.

I trailed 35-20 heading into the 4th quarter and pulled out the victory unlocking an achievement. It was a very, very solid game all-around by both teams.

After being unable to run the ball against Oregon St. I came out and had a great game with my halfback.

Nic Grigsby: 28 car, 140 yds, 3 TD, long of 23
Matt Scott (QB): 5 car, 38 yds, long of 23

Arizona State's HB had a STUD game: 15 car, 180 yds, 2 TD, long of 53; 5 rec, 61 yds, TD
He was a machine and tough to bring down!

ASU QB: 24-35, 284 yds, 3 TD, INT
AZ QB: 19-32, 249 yds, TD, 2 INT

I was able to get one sack and they had a DE sack me on 3 consecutive plays...those were all the sacks in the game though.

The game changing moment was in the 4th when I was trailing 27-35. Brandon Tatum picked off a pass and took it to the house. It wasn't cheap at all either. ASU's QB had the right read by Tatum was underneath in a zone. He jumped up and had a clear path to the endzone...only 27 yards.

I missed the two-point conversion trying to tie it up but was able to get a 23-yard TD run by Grigsby up the gut to take the 39-35 lead.

FUN game! I thought I was gonna lose for sure...felt awesome to pull it out...especially against my rival in the season finale!

We both finished the season 9-3...they lost their last three after a 9-0 start.

nice game stew, close game victories when you have to get it done at the end of the game are the best!

i know when i used these the first time and BYU had 300 yards offense in the first quarter I was going to have to change my D playcalling to a more conservative style. If you allow the CPU RB and QB to get "hot" on you early you are in for a LOOOOOOOONG day!

These sliders actually make playing a 4 man front worth your time and I love it!

Man I agree, with house rules and if you are LUCKY and the CPU calls a good enough game to not take themselves out of it early these slider sets provide a fun experience. However, the CPU still sometimes throws their team under a truck with horrible play calling and there is nothing you can do. When the CPU decides its going to call screen after screen and get sacked time after time I just try to imagine that I am playing a coach like Weis who is clueless and unable to get out of his own way to win games and move on. I also remember that there will be robo QB in my future coupled with fumbles at the worst possible times so I try not to get too worked up over the total lack of AI playcalling.

Re: FistofRage's Heisman sliders...

A good durable back is the key to the running game. The defense seems to wear down late. I pounded the ball down BYU's throat because I didn't trust Jimmy Claussen to throw any passes. My Bruising HB finished the game with 49 carries for 199 yards and 3 TD's. But he was ripping off nice 8 to 10 yard gains up the middle late. My 2nd string TB had only 19 yards on 15 carries. He's a lighter scat back but with only 90 speed, he's pretty much worthless. He'll be #3 on the depth charts heading into the next game.

Is seems like everyone is experiencing close games with these sliders. For some of you in your dynasties that may play a weaker opponent say those division 2 schools or teams less inferior are they able to hang around?

Sometimes, depends nif you let them get momentum. If you exploit their weaknesses, not so much, but if you let them hang around, you are in for a dog fight. Go into Akron with a Big Ten team and throw a pick or two early and you'll be in for a scare.

weaker team like Akron YES, I was down 10-0 to akron with Michigan the other day and crapping my pants.

Div 2 teams... HECK NO! they are 100% worthless and if you lose to them you should probably quit the game entirely and find something else to do with your time.
