Re: FistofRage's Heisman sliders...

stew, thanks for the feedback. man i am pumped to get home tonight and get my 2 OD up and going. Going to turn UM and Nebraska into super powers after a few years of recruiting my guys! That is unless I lose early which will result in needing 3 or 4 years. Going to bring the black shirts back to Lincoln and make Meeeeechigan a top 5 program again!

To me and some other guys AA is way too easy even with adjusted sliders. I'd rather have the CPU cheat a little than for it to be a rout 9 times out of 10.

I'm looking forward to using this set in the OS Pro league
Personally they are too easy but I'm just going to play with whatever the guys want. I just beat Cincinnati with Notre Dame 70-0 today.

I can move the ball at will and on defense their QB was 11-30 with 5 picks.

Using these sliders with 7 minute quarters...

Oregon vs. Cal (Me)

Final Score: 63-49 win for me.

Both teams had over 550 yards of total offense. I could not stop them through the air as Oregon's mediocre QB threw for over 500 yards. But then again, Oregon's D got torched through the air and on the ground by Cal's balanced attack.

I was hoping for a little more defense but it is the Pac-10. If first time starter Roper from Oregon ripped apart my D, then I'd hate to see what Tebow would do.

I may have try out the Varsity idea.

can always make house rules to slow down your offense, that is what we do.

Yeah, but I'm still going to try out something on Varsity. I find on Heisman that the CPU rarely runs the ball and when they start throwing it all over the field, you have no chance defending it.

I tried these using Oregon vs. Washington. I played just over a half. I threw 5 ints (3 were bad decisions, two were inaccurate passes). Locker threw one pick, and ran well, as did the fullback (but the halfback didn't do so great). UW had a 28-7 lead at the half, I got a pick six early in the second half, and then they marched down to score again. I think these are a bit out of my league for right now though.

okay, finally played a game with these in my nebraska dynasty and WOW, you really have to control the clock and keep them off the field. then when they are on the field you must honor the run or they will KILL YOU! i think I will really like these with the house rules but I should still be able to have a great winning percentage if my main guys stay healthy.

That's what it's all about man. If you execute and have some playmakers you should be winning consistently. If you have a crappy team then you should lose.

Who do you guys control on defense? Do you user pick often?

I control my LB on every play. I almost never get user pick unless the CPU throws a really high floater and I will take the DB and hit the Y button.

with these sliders it will be crucial for me to have fast LBs and a SOLID TE.
