I am posting this for Playmaker since I believe he is the best at producing realistic and challenging sliders for the NCAA series..anyways, here is his latest work for sliders of NCAA Football '08 for Xbox 360
Playmaker:
Here's where I'm at so far on my sliders. There really isn't much of a drastic change from 07 because they seem to convert over pretty good.
A few things I noticed is that the CPU QB's will still make poor throws even at 100 accuarcy.
The RB's aren't as juiced up on AA Level as they are on Heisman and having them at 100 seems to make them play at their maximum ability without too many broken tackles. I can still tackle them pretty good if I don't try to go for the big hit all the time.
I kept both WR catch Sliders at Default because it allows the best WR's to stand out more when making the difficult catches. But if you really like seeing the animations more often boost this slider up and you'll see the WR's become more aggressive going after the ball in traffic or deep.
I like the CPU's AWR at 100 because it pretty much makes them react quicker and adjust to play much better. This is also tied into how well they pursue the ball carrier. You can still get positive yardage in the running game but when it was set lower the CPU defenders just flat out took bad angles to the ball.
I put the Human AWR down quite a bit because they sniff out too many plays and it also helps the CPU's Running and Passing game. I didn't increase the blocking sliders for either side because I think going lower actually helps to tone down the suction blocking. Aslong as the blocking sliders are balanced out with the Break Block slider you can still see holes open up on both sides.
My goal is to get the CPU's Offense to move the ball consistently and for their defense to put up a challenge. I don't expect all teams to perform the same way but I wanted the higher rated schools to be productive and stand out a little more during gameplay. I think I'm on the right track since this is All-American Level and I'll most likely tweak the sliders in hope that they can provide some longevity during dynasty mode.

I've used them on the PS3 for about 3 games now and they are pretty good. I was going to move up to heisman but playmakers sliders has made the cpu offense much better on AA level. I don't see them throwing ton's of INT's anymore and they run the ball very effecient and realistic from what I've seen in my 3 games. They play smarter defense but I can still put together some nice balanced offensive drives with a few big plays.

Aren't those numbers backwards - wouldn't you sub in higher than you sub out? Maybe I'm misreading it.

After using several other AA sets, just looking at these make me want to use them. Low user defensive awareness is a must, glad to see it low. Can't wait to try these out in a little bit.

Yeah these are a good set of sliders, the difficulty almost reaches that of heismen without a lot of the CPU "cheese"
Im still having a really difficult time replicating WVU's shotgun Spread offense the way they run it in real life. My Tackles become retards on qb choice plays...:-) I can win games, but not the way the Mountaineers actually win them, and thats kind of frustrating to me. I think this problem has more to do with EA's engine and a lack of a more tuned WVU playbook.
Outside of WVU, the rest of my games have been really good. I had some great SEC battles using Arkansas. My games against Auburn and LSU were amazing slugfests just like in real life....Many a injuries
Ive had fun using Marshall too, haven't won quite as many with them against larger schools but I can still make it competitive.
