That's exactly how I feel. Tight back and forth games are a blast! I'll make some small adjustments to these and play a few games to test, then once my transfer kit shows up I'll finally get a dynasty started (Damn online orders!)

Are you for sure going AA this year or are you on the fence?

I played 3 games with the final slider set last night in my Wake Forest dynasty.
I won all 3 games, I think it is still kinda of easy at times to move the ball against the cpu with these. I had 31 pts against FSU at the half. I ended up scoring 45 pts against a really good defense. I really think the momentum is still way to beefed up on this game. If you get the mo on your side you can really kill the cpu.

I haven't played enough games yet to say anything for sure but AA is where I've stuck previous years. With a slight tweak in HUM AWR I'm sure I'll be happy with my defense, then it's just a matter of making sure HUM offense is set.
I've been using Wisconsin as my test team against other Big ten teams as I want to test with decent players. Once I finalize my sliders I then start a dynasty with a weak school so it should be a struggle until I can get some decent recruits which sounds tough this year?
Are you scoring a lot of points with these? I see the post below mine is lighting it up, but my games have been more low scoring?

my guess is that jake is good at the game and can read defenses. if you are good at the game and stick skills then you almost have to go to heisman so that the cpu has a chance. see, the issue is that being able to see all 22 players at once in a video game is just unrealistic and "cheating" sim style football so if you learn to read a defense then you almost need the computer to cheat back and make their end unrealistic (heisman) to get a good game. however; if you are bad with stick skills then the ability to see the whole field doesn't help as much and AA is doable. at least this is how I feel it shakes out.

Soce,
I edited my previous post and I agree with your last post. I'm probably just an average player overall and I try to play as realistic as possible (no cheat plays, etc). I'm pretty sure AA with a slight tweaking of Playmaker's sliders will be just right for me.
If not the "team" sliders being posted also sound interesting .....?

I think you are right to some extent, I just think it is too easy to roll out of the pocket if no one is open and run for 5-10 yrds. I play as Wake Forest and have not had a close game yet. FSU did put up a decent fight for the last 3 quarters my last game but I got out to a 24 to 0 lead in the 1st. FSU did put some decent pressure on me but their qb just threw too many ints. By the way I do not use money plays, I let Corso pick all of my plays.

That would make a big difference ... I rarely if ever run with my QB as I play more of a pro-style offense with a drop back QB. I've found offense to be very challenging so far. I'll move the ball well for awhile but usually get stopped short of a score (very realistic so far). Every now and then I'll think running w/RB is too easy, then my opponent will shut me down for a few plays (again realistic).
I think individual playing style really determines what sliders will or won't work, but my guess is with a fast running QB this game will be too easy with any sliders (as mentioned by the online players)?

I played again at lunch and I agree with Jake in that AA just seems too darn easy. I even jacked up the CPU QB ACC and the run blocking and still, it just felt easier than I had hoped. Basically the game plays well but it doesn't make me feel like I am going to lose if I do something stupid which is what I want. And on AA when you get momentum it seems to get too easy. Now if you totally screw up early it can be a different story. On heisman you need to play 4 quarters of perfect football to beat a better team and that is what I am after. i am going back to heisman for now I think.

Well I replayed my Wake vs FSU game (I did not save it after scoring 45 against FSU) my second game played more life like. I lost to FSU 26-10, I just had a hard time moving the ball against a much faster defense. This is the first game I have played that I could not move the ball at will against the cpu. I think I am going to stick with these for now.
By the way playmakers is currently working on a heisman set.
