Re: Generic EA Roster Editor

Been working with the editor to make it easier to identity what can be edited.

It takes time because every edit of the file has to be crossed checked to see if/how it will work with the ROS/DYN files.

Will post updated file here soon as I get home in a bit.

As far as Mass edit's go, I just use the Madden Editor to export to Excel, edit & Import. (not as bad as I thought)

Here's the notes (off the top of my head) thus far.
***Most editable stuff from console can be done, so I won't list

Some good:
Team
1) Can edit BCS Rankings for both Roster & Dynasty

2) Can edit Team Prestige (1-6 Stars)
--giving a "0" will cause Team Data (ros, logo's etc...) to go blank

3) Can edit Conf/Div team belongs to
--outside of adding to

Coach
1) Can control multiple teams in single Dynasty
--only tested up to 5, but more should be able to be done

2) Can edit Rating

3) Can edit Prestige (including Off/Def Coord's)

4) Can edit Off/Def Aggr (to me 99's changes CPU gameplay)

5) If file accepts "Fields"; would be able to edit
--Recruiting: Tendency for each Position
--Recruiting: Position Importance

Player
1) Can edit Tendency (no matter what you edit ratings to)

2) Can edit Recruits (MAYBE!!!)
--Over 8,000 players in Dynasty File For some reason, Recruits do not show up in the file.

3)Found how to edit "All-Americans", just got to edit General xml to pull-n-populate the data, then we're good to go!!!

Conferences
1) Can add additional teams beyond 16
--must be one of current teams
--Don't know the Max can add before freezing (did an ACC 24 and it froze)

2) Can edit Schedule (once game generates)

Some bad
Team
1) Dynasties with Created Teams cause editor to not list some fields/data
--tried to see if Created Teams could be added to ROS file to see if additional teams could be added to Conf's at the "start" of a Dynasty
(thus being able to add FCS Teams)
NOTE: the game does list FCS Conf's in file, but when edited...
a) there's no "Logo" for Conf
b) teams can be edited to show in Conf; just forgot what game did

2) Generic Teams can be added to a Conf (pre-dynasty)
--to see if additional Teams could be added this way, but...
a) Generic Teams have "NO" editable Roster, even in Dynasty
b) although they have in-game art (stadium etc...) to use, it doesn't show

Coach
1) As noted above, trying to find what's preventing Recruiting "Fields" from being recognized

Player
1) Can't seem to find data that list "All-American" tag to players

Conferences
1) Although FCS Conf's are in file, only Dynasty File pulls data to show they are there, ROS File does not show

2) Additional Slots for teams to be added beyond 16 are editable in Dynasty File, but...
--does no good because we're still stuck with the inability to add additional teams beyond the 119

11/16 Update
I'm on a Mac at school, so hopefully everything works
(changed xml to txt to upload, change back to xml and see if works)

You didn't happen to see anything on the in-game gameplan adjustments did you? Hoping that's not on the disk, but the more I think about it, it probably is.

Re: Generic EA Roster Editor

I'll look into doing a dedicated NCAA editor, but its going to take some time, in that I am nowhere near as familiar with the fields and family & work are pretty demanding at the moment. I'll see what I can do though, as time allows.

Re: Generic EA Roster Editor

Played around with this for the first time. Did not load roster back to the game yet. But I did figure our some fields...

Weight = what you enter +160 so if you want a 200lbs you just put in 40
Years = Press rating
Face = lower are white like 1-50 .. 100-160 are black, not sure of specific #s could be determined if necessary though..
Pad Definition = Shoulder Pad Height 1=10, 10=100.. works in incriments of 10 so there is 10 spots on that slider..
TRAF = Catch In Traffic
PLSL =
PRSD = ??
PBAK = Back Plate 1= Back Plate 0=none
PFLK = Flak Jacket 1 = Flak Jacket
PLSO = High Socks = 2 Mid = 1 Low = 0
PSAR = Stiff Arm
PLKR = Knee Brace R =1 no braces =0
PLKL = Knee Brace L =1
PRTR = Route Running
PPRS = Pursuit
SPCT = Special Catch
PESV = Elusiveness

Could these be addressed and organized so we can get all defensive attributes near each other?

I saw someone post about editing inside excel. How are you accomplishing this?

Am I understanding you correctly? You are able to get the file out of the editor, Edit the ratings in Excel, then get it back into the editor and eventually back into game format? How are you getting the file into Excel to edit it?

Thanks in advance!

Also.. anyone figure out how to edit the players class? could not find field for that???

Utilize the Madden Editor to open ROS/DYN file, then export all players (csv created), open in any Excel type program (ok configure pop-up), edit-n-save, then go back into Madden Editor and import.

Thanks in advance!

Everything a little bit more organized in the xml zip file in my post above.
Almost done with organizing the fields for the Players, then will do a separate a Players Accessories Tag so that edits are easier to mess with.
Will need to do an "Explanation, Do's/Dont's" write-up concerning some of the editable data.

Re: Generic EA Roster Editor

Trying to see if created OFF Playbooks (NCAA 12) can be tagged to individual coaches so that as they move around to different schools, they take that play style with them (Hope so!!!).

???wondering if Coord's have different playbooks than HC's, will those plays be available.....will test and see
