Im good with that. I can help you guys if needed.
I have Texas done with changes.
Re: PS3 NCAA 13 GROUP ROSTERS PRE-THREAD
TEXAS LONGHORNS
The freshmen jerseys, as well as any other number changes, will likely come out around mid-July. I think that some of them (Johnathan Gray, Cayleb Jones, Peter Jinkens) will actually be correct.
As usual there are a lot of duplicate jerseys and there will probably be even more after some players change numbers.
I used 24/7Sports for the freshman rankings as I feel their product is superior to Rivals, especially with regard to their Texas site.
QB
QB #14 David Ash 6'3 222 SO Belton, TX Increase throw power to 88, kick power to 75, kick accuracy to 70
QB #6 Case McCoy 6'2 200 JR Graham, TX Decrease throw power to 80
QB #7 Connor Brewer 6'2 200 FR Scottsdale, AZ Decrease throw power to 84, accuracy to 87
QB #12 (??) Jalen Overstreet 6'2 205 (212) FR Tatum, TX (Longview, TX)
HB
HB #28 Malcolm Brown 6'0 213 SO Cibolo, TX (Schertz, TX) Lower speed to 90(Brown runs 4.45 speed should be 92)
HB #24 Joe Bergeron 6'1 230 SO Mesquite, TX
HB #32 (??) Johnathan Gray 5'11 190 (202) FR Aledo, TX (Benbrook, TX)
HB #5 Jeremy Hills 6'0 202 SR-RS Houston, TX
HB #26 D.J. Monroe 5'9 175 SR-RS Angleton, TX Increase speed and acceleration to 95+. Drop catching to 60s.
FB
FB #30 Ryan Roberson 5'10 238 SR-RS Brenham, TX
FB #13 Chet Moss 6'2 242 SO Cedar Park, TX (Round Rock, TX) CHANGE TO FB #36 Alex De La Torre 6'1 230 FR Denton, TX (early enrollee who came in as a low-4 star LB and moved to FB in the spring as Moss was in the doghouse)
WR
WR #8 Jaxon Shipley 6'1 190 SO Brownwood, TX Has a decent arm, which was used last year. I would make passing numbers similar to Onyegbule
WR #1 Mike Davis 6'2 188 JR Dallas, TX Until he shows more consistency I would drop him to an 87
WR #84 Marquise Goodwin 5'9 177 SR Rowlett, TX
WR #81 Miles Onyegbule 6'4 216 SO Arlington, TX Will play more H-Back this year
WR #4 (??) Cayleb Jones 6'3 198 FR Austin, TX I would drop his speed. He is a physical WR with good hands that is more quick than fast. Think Cris Carter. Runs mid to high 4.6(Last reported 40 time was 4.56)
WR #3 DeSean Hales 5'11 175 SR-RS Klein, TX (Spring, TX)
WR #9 John Harris 6'3 211 SO-RS Garland, TX Starter last year before injury. Best blocking WR on the team(Also played QB in high school)
#16 Bryany Jackson 6’2 195 SO-RS Sulphur Springs, TX Has best vertical on team and runs a 4.49. Is in rotation for 2nd with Mike Davis and above Hales.
TE
TE #89 Barrett Matthews 6'2 235 SR Galena Park, TX I would basically flip Matthews and Grant's receiving attributes. Matthews is more of a blocker with inconsistent hands.
TE #18 D.J. Grant 6'3 238 SR-RS Austin, TX Lower his blocking. He's more of a receiver.
TE #88 M.J. McFarland 6'6 245 FR-RS El Paso, TX Looks to be an excellent receiver, but his blocking is still suspect.
TE #15 Darius Terrell 6'3 238 SO-RS DeSoto, TX Transferred to North Texas CHANGE TO EITHER:
TE #95 Greg Daniels 6-5 280 SO-RS Houston, TX
TE #?? Caleb Bluiett 6-3 245 FR Beaumont, TX
Daniels has been moved around from DE to DT and now to TE. He missed spring practice after shoulder surgery, so we still haven't seen him play TE. He should be fine blocking and he's athletic, but I have trouble seeing him running down field at 280.
Bluiett is an exceptional athlete that came in as a low-4 star DE, but will start off at TE. He may switch back to DE long-term. He is an excellent deep snapper.
LT
LT #70 Paden Kelley 6'7 295 JR-RS Austin, TX Quit Football CHANGE Kelley quit football after the spring. I would actually change him into a completely different position player as depth at OL, particularly OT, is rather weak. I have included some suggestions below. I would go with RB Daje Johnson. On a side note, his overall is completely ridiculous. he was at best the sixth best OL.
LT #51 Donald Hawkins 6'5 310 JR Tunica, MS (Senatobia, MS)
LT #71 Camrhon Hughes 6'7 320 FR Harker Heights, TX Will shirt this season due to torn ACL.
LG
LG #75 Trey Hopkins 6'4 298 JR Galena Park, TX First key backup at either T spot if either starter gets hurt. Flowers would then play G.
LG #66 Sedrick Flowers 6'3 313 SO (FR-RS) Houston, TX Increase OVR to 81
LG #77 (??) Curtis Riser 6'3 (6'4) 283 (285) FR DeSoto, TX
C
C #55 Dominic Espinosa 6'4 298 SO-RS Cedar Park, TX (Round Rock, TX) Lower to 85 OVR
C #73 Garrett Porter 6'6 310 JR-RS Odessa, TX Lower OVR to 77
RG
RG #72 Mason Walthers 6'6 315 JR-RS Wolfforth, TX (Lubbock, TX)
RG #79 Thomas Ashcraft 6'5 315 JR-RS Cedar Hill, TX Lower OVR to 78
RG #76 Garrett Greenlea 6'7 295 FR-RS Spring, TX May be moved to T to add depth.
RT
RT #68 Josh Cochran 6'6 285 SO Hallsville, TX (Longview, TX) Lower to 86 OVR
RT #82 Luke Poehlmann 6'7 295 SR-RS Brenham, TX Lower OVR to 76. Will be used more as a blocking TE. Despite his listed weight, he is too light to be an effective every down T.
RT #78 (??) Kennedy Estelle 6'7 300 FR Pearland, TX
LE
LE #80 Alex Okafor 6'4 260 SR Pflugerville, TX (Round Rock, TX)
LE #92 Reggie Wilson 6'3 252 JR Haltom City, TX
LE #93 (??) Hassan Ridgeway 6'4 250 FR Mansfield, TX
RE
RE #44 Jackson Jeffcoat 6'5 250 JR Plano, TX
RE #88 Cedric Reed 6'6 256 SO Cleveland, TX
RE #87 (??) Torshiro Davis 6'3 220 (222) FR Shreveport, LA
DT
DT #85 Ashton Dorsey 6'2 295 JR Tyler, TX
DT #99 Desmond Jackson 6'1 285 SO Houston, TX
DT #97 Brandon Moore 6'5 335 JR-RS Montgomery, AL(Pushing for starting spot. Improve ratings)
DT #96 Chris Whaley 6'3 279 JR-RS Madisonville, TX (Huntsville, TX)
DT #90 (??) Malcom Brown 6'2 (6'3) 280 (285 probably closer to 300 by now) FR Brenham, TX(He actually runs a 4.9)
LOLB
LOLB #3 Jordan Hicks 6'2 235 JR West Chester, OH (Mason, OH)
LOLB #42 Tevin Jackson 6'2 225 SO Garland, TX
MLB
MLB #33 Steve Edmond 6'3 255 SO Daingerfield, TX (Mount Pleasant, TX)
MLB #5 Aaron Benson 6'2 233 SO-RS Cedar Hill, TX
ROLB
ROLB #15 Demarco Cobbs 6'2 215 JR Tulsa, OK
ROLB #35 Kendall Thompson 6'3 237 SO Carthage, TX (Henderson, TX)( Ratings way to low.)
ROLB #19 (??) Peter Jinkens 6'1 200 (208) FR Dallas, TX( Runs a 4.51 and should compete for playing time. Ratings to low)
CB
CB #28 Quandre Diggs 5'10 200 SO Angleton, TX
CB #23 Carrington Byndom 6'0 180 JR Lufkin, TX
CB #25 Josh Turner 6'0 177 SO Oklahoma City, OK
CB #24 (??) Kendall Sanders 6'1 175 FR Athens, TX MOVE TO WR May be a better CB prospect long-term, but he'll start off as a WR and possible KR. High-4 star explosive athlete.(Runs 4.41)(Make this Kevin Vaccaro. Kenny’s little brother. He is 5’9 175, faster than his brother but smaller. He hits juust as hard
CB #21 Duke Thomas 5'11 170 FR Copperas Cove, TX
CB #22 Eryonn Barnett 6'2 195 Euless, TX Transferred to Montana State CHANGE TO CB #?? 5'10 165 Bryson Echols FR DeSoto, TX High-3 star. Doesn't appear to have any truly elite attributes, but also lacks any discernible weaknesses other than his size. Basically solid all around.(Actually he is 4 STAR DB and runs a legit 4.45)
FS - I noticed that all of the safeties on teambuilder are 3-4 points lower than they were on the video from E3.
FS #4 Kenny Vaccaro 6'1 215 SR Brownwood, TX
FS #7 Mykkele Thompson 6'2 183 SO San Antonio, TX I would up his ballcarrier and passing numbers. He was a dynamic QB in HS and there's a slight chance that he may be used some at wildcat and also plays all DB spots.
FS #31 Leroy Scott 5'10 193 SO Pasadena, TX
SS
SS #17 Adrian Phillips 5'11 199 JR Garland, TX Increase OVR to 85. Plays all 5 DB spots.
SS #29 Sheroid Evans 6'0 185 SO Sugar Land, TX I would up speed and acceleration to at least 95. He is an elite sprinter (10.34 100M 20.76 200m) with excellent closing speed.
SS #16 Bryant Jackson 6'2 191 SO-RS Sulphur Springs, TX He is coming off injury and is currently listed as a WR and keeps getting moved between the two positions. As he may be lost in the shuffle, I would think about changing him to #?? Adrian Colbert 6'1 191 FR Mineral Wells, TX high-4 star recruit who plays physical with track speed (won state 200m and 400m) Make Jackson a WR. He has the ability to play both. Runs a 4.49 and had significant playing time during late part of season, bowl game and spring.
K
K #14 William Russ 6'4 193 SO-RS Shreveport, LA CHANGE TO K (#??) Nick Jordan 6-1 170 FR Coppell, TX He has a strong leg, but I can't attest to his accuracy
Will Russ is more of a punter and kickoff guy and has been very inconsistent since he's been on campus. The winner of the kicker job won't be known until fall practices, but I'd bet on Nick Jordan over walk-ons Ben Pruitt and Nick Rose. There might be a different kicker for FG/PATs and kickoffs.
P
P #31 Ben Pruitt 6'1 190 FR-RS The Woodlands, TX CHANGE TO P (#36?) Alex King 6-1 210 SR-RS Winston-Salem, NC (85 KPW, 72 KAC in NCAA 2012)
Ben Pruitt is a placekicker. Alex King is a graduate transfer from Duke that is eligible to play this year. He is the favorite over Russ for the job. King was second team All-ACC Last year, with a 42.1 average.
POTENTIAL PLAYERS TO ADD/CHANGE TO (Current roster at 68)
ATH Daje Johnson 5'10 175 FR Pflugerville, TX (Round Rock, TX)
Low-4 star. Good all around athlete. Was committed to TCU as a CB, where many think he'd be better off long-term. Will start off at RB and be used similar to D.J. Monroe. Recorded the highest SPARQ score ever at last year's The Opening (146.5 including a 4.34 40, 40.8" Vert). Good KR.(Will compete to start at wildcat position)
WR Marcus Johnson 6'2 183 FR League City, TX
Low-4 star who really came on his senior season. Reminds be of Dez Briscoe.(Guys runs a 4.51 way faster than Briscoe. )
MLB Dalton Santos 6'3 250 FR Van, TX (Tyler, TX)
Low-4 star MLB that is a thumper similar to Steve Edmond (not as talented, but in better shape). He's probably a little bigger than the 250 but still runs a sub 4.7. He may also be a FB or DL down the line.
OLB Tim Cole 6'2 215 FR Brenham, TX
Low-4 star who likely projects to SLB. Instinctive LB who plays faster than his 5.0 40. Good football IQ. A little undersized. Can definitely use a redshirt.( Latest 40 time was a 4.7)
