NCAA Football Rosters>PS2 Named Roster Community Project 10
Tomahawk 02:52 AM 07-16-2009
I finished the ACC teams and I sent them to scolton, but I'll be damned (and it is too late) if I can figure out how to attach the file to this post. I'm sure scolton can get them posted along with the other rosters that have been done. [Reply]

I would love to help as well and can provide some support out here on the west coast. I can take some of the PAC 10 squads. (Phil Steele's book is the best... but USC is always a nightmare because their rosters about 12 deep at each position and half the players can never be found)

BUT I don't know if these rosters (via excel) will have any impact for me. See, I only have a PS2 console (have not sprung for new product... waiting for the price drop this year) and can not run it through the PS3 uploads/downloads aforementioned in these posts.

I was going to spring for purchasing these from one of those online vendors BUT wanted to get anyone on heres thoughts on my options before I did it. [Reply]

First I use AR Max EVO to get the roster to the computer. Then I change the file type from max to xps. Then I use a hex editor to delete the header and footer. Then use a couple of spreadsheets and a table viewer that someone gave me and if he gives me permission I could distribute. Then I make changes with a different spreadsheet it's huge, 28 MB. Then I write the changes to the hex file, add back the header and footer, save the xps file back to max and use AR Max to get the game save back in the game. [Reply]

It can only be downloaded 10 times, so please nobody download it until scolton says he has it. Haha.

Purdue and Northwestern were both TERRIBLE.

Got it. [Reply]

Here is what I have so far. This new spreadsheet is better to use because you can edit all the info on the sheet. Take a look. BUT you can't change player teams. The player team spots are "fixed."

Like I said earlier. I already have uploaded some of this in a Max file and verified it works great. Last night I played a couple games with BYU online and had all the names it was awesome. As soon as we get all the names the file will be available in two formats. One with names only and the other with whatever changes you want to make. [Reply]

the tricky part about PSUs roster is the numbers and the position changes. A lot of the freshmen do not have numbers yet. Only a few do... Newsome is #12 Hodges should be #6.. etc.. but you can't duplicate numbers.. so we are out of luck. The freshmen that dont have a number yet ill put a (*) by their name and i'll put a (**) if a player had a number change and a (***) for a position change and i'll put a **** if this player has to be made to replace a player who is not on the team anymore.

With this spreadsheet, we *can* make duplicate numbers. [Reply]

I just found a minor problem I need to figure out. When I started doing this there were only 119 teams. So I think I need to figure out which players are jumbled together on USF. I think the team that is missing is Western Kentucky. Are they the newest FBS team?

I'll work to have this fixed and should be fixed before you get me all the names. [Reply]
