i guess you make a valid point.. all i was trying to say, is that i've heard many OD's turn into USER beasts and the CPU teams turn to crap over the years because people recruit guys they don't need...

i meant more in situations where you already have a high rated player at that position who is a freshman or sophomore..

And i without a doubt and agree with what your saying. BUT with 12 users even with a 10 recruit cap we still would probably get 80-85 of the top 120 recruits leaving the other 108 teams to get those other guys which still is gonna spread them thin. I think the cpu teams turning crappy is a inescapable conclusion no matter how we restrict this. I do agree that something need to be done to slow it though.

Ok, guys, I'll chime in on the recruiting limits later. Right now I'm happy to announce everything went smoothly with the players leaving early stuff. Auburn was the only one receiving transfers and I rejected Harris going there. I advanced to recruiting. Invites have been sent. The schedule for advancing is supposed to be Wednesday 9:30 PM, however, rollins asked that I delay it until when I wake early Thursday morning. I'm ok with it unless we have one person who has an issue with it, so let me know whether in this thread or a confidential PM.

Here are the results from the players leaving early and transfers:

- Marks, DT, returned on 1st 30-min
- Tate, HB, returned on 1st 30-min
- A. Coleman, LE, return on 1st 30-min
- Powers, CB, leaving.

ECU
- None requested

Florida State

Hey Ricky I'm spending the rest of the week hobnobbing with the professional bowlers in Oregon. I took my PS3 with me but I can't get it to work. So, no recruiting for me. I'm still playing, just won't be able to accept the invite until I get home on Sunday night. Could you let me know if anyone signs with me here on the board...I'd appreciate it.

I'll keep trying to hook this thing up...it just doesn't look good.

Sorry for the back-to-back-to-back posts. This is alerting you to the fact I posted revised position changes rules and recruiting rules in the first post of this thread. I also posted gameplay rules there. They are the official league rules and supersede rule discussion in any other posts. Please READ THEM and feel free to discuss or present objections here.

The recruiting rules don't apply until the recruiting season for 2009. Alternatively worded, this current recruiting class of 2008 is not subject to the recruiting rule.
