Re: PS3 National Heisman Sliders Challenge Dynasty - Official Thread

We've advanced to Week 10. Games of Interest:

- #17 Virginia Tech 8-1 (cpu) at #1 Miami 8-0 (RuFF_NeXX)
{The Hokies will try as best they can to ruin Miami's dream season. Miami's Coach RuFF_NeXX won't be having none of that}

- Baylor 3-5 (H22) at #11 Texas Tech 7-1 (cpu)
{The season is starting to go down the pisser for Baylor. Can they rescue the season from the sewers starting with this match up against the #11 Tortilla Tech program?}

#10 USC 5-1 (robbiedizzle) at #13 Oregon State 6-0 (cpu)
{USC has seemingly been ranked #10 for 8 weeks now. They'll want to move up in the polls at some time. Why not start against a conference rival in a game that could decide the league title?}

Deadline for getting it done is 9:30 PM, Wednesday.

Re: PS3 National Heisman Sliders Challenge Dynasty - Official Thread

Baylor gets back on track with a big win against rival and conference foe Texas Tech, 44-27. This game was 38-10 at the half and the Bears skated through the 2nd half for the win.

Wow, I was 2-1 when I left for vacation and 3-5 when I came back. That hurt my chances of a repeat in the top 25. This team is powerful offensively, too.

Good to be back, thanks for waiting me out guys.

Mike

Re: PS3 National Heisman Sliders Challenge Dynasty - Official Thread

We've advanced to Week 11. Games of Interest:

- #15 Georgia 7-1 (cpu) at #3 Auburn 8-1 (Golfer26)
{Auburn is sneaking around the top 2 BCS spots like a fox around the chicken coupe hoping someone leaves the door ajar. They must first take care of the Bull Dawgs}

- Penn State 0-8 (Sean_c) at #20 North Carolina 7-2 (cpu)
{Not gonna jinx coach Sean}

Deadline for getting it done is 9:30 PM, Friday.

We've advanced to Week 12. Games of Interest:

- #15 TCU 8-1 (cpu) at #13 Florida State 7-2 (drowsike)
{FSU falls out of the top 10 after a conference loss in which coach drowsike failed to make it to the sidelines. Could that affect their chances of playing in the ACC championship game?}

#6 Oklahoma 10-1 (cpu) at Baylor 5-5 (H22)
{Coach Mike has the Bears playing well again since his return from his sabbatical. Can he bring them to a bowl? OU is not going to be an easy out.}

- Oregon 5-3 (bdawkins2002) at #7 USC 7-1 (robbidizzle - on AutoPilot)
{Mr. Dizzle is away. bdawkins Oregon teams have not beaten robbiedizzle's USC squads in the 5 years of this dynasty. Now that the big cat is away will the mouse finally come out to play?}

- #3 Auburn 9-1 (Golfer26) at #21 Alabama 7-2 (cpu)
{It's another chapter in the heated Iron Bowl rivalry. The State of Alabama is on lock down as all eyes will be watching to see if the Tide can ambush Auburn's run to a 3rd straight BCS title game}

Deadline for getting it done is 9:30 PM, Sunday.

Drowsike, I advanced at 9:00 PM, 30-min before the scheduled time. I didn't see you on at the time. It's also been my experience that if someone hasn't played their game by then and haven't contacted me by then they are not going to play. This is even worse on a Friday night. This also wouldn't have given you sufficient time to play your game and I wanted to do some stuff. The end result was I advanced, the cpu sim the game, and your FSU squad lost.

Annihaltion at the Coliseum

Despite Robbiedizzle's absence The USC Trojans dominated the Oregon Ducks in every aspect of the game. The USC defense forced inexperienced, true freshman quarterback Byron Walters to throw 9 interceptions. Every bounce, every bobble went the Trojans way. Despite the difficulty Byron Walters had passing, he ended the day as the Duck's leading rusher, his longest, reeling off a 71-yard gallop that ended just shy of the goaline.

USC 75 Oregon 16

First and foremost, Drowsike hope that you are in good health after your hospital stay. Secondly, I havenot posted a game recap here in awhile but Robbiedizzle has built a powerhouse out in Southern California. Congratulations to the USC Trojans. Hope everyone has a good week! DeadlyCane, just a reminder after my next game, just put me on CPU controlled July 15th through July 25th. Thank you.

Re: PS3 National Heisman Sliders Challenge Dynasty - Official Thread

Hey guys,

I've been reading the thread of the official impressions of those that have the game already. Its looking pretty good. The AI is better, no robo QB on both ends, and the QB actually misfires, receivers actually block, receiving is better as in if the receiver completes his route and the ball isn't thrown, he'll actually move around to try to get open.

The bad...pass rush seems to be non-existant and sliders are innefective...but supposedly there is a gameday release patch.

Everyone says teambuilder is awesome. Thats what I'm looking forward too. My 20 year class reunion is next month and playin' as THE Hollidaysburg (home of the Slinky) Golden Tigers is gonna be great...not on Heisman though...sorry Ricky...that's for online dynasty only. I'm starting as a creampuff.
