Re: The Freezing Issue

I couldn't even get a game in, in the MEAC tournament. I tried 3 times and it froze twice before halftime and once at halftime. Before this I only had one freeze in the regular season in about 25 games.

Played over 80 games and experienced 2 freezes. I downloaded the game to my 360 HD and unplugged live when playing and have yet to have any issues under these circumstances, even using the d pad to sub and what not.

Re: The Freezing Issue

I was thinking today that maybe we should just copy/paste this entire thread into the comments section of Peter Moore's blog. (Or maybe just the posts reporting freezing.)

Somebody did that with a list of 75 bugs in FIFA's Manager Mode and it caused some rumblings. I mean EA refuses to acknowledge the problems with this title and even though its canned I still would like a posthumous patch. EA can treat it like a peace offering to all the guys burned by the freezing.

Or maybe that's overkill and we should consider this game deader than Elvis.

Good idea. Now who's gonna take the lead?

I was gonna make a petition and send it to them, but then I lost interest once the game was dropped. However I'm in favor of trying something like you said Guffer. Are they even aware of these problems at EA?

There is zero chance they are unaware of the problems. I just think that the guys in charge have thought of the game as dead from about a week after its release. Dead game = no post release support. Making sure we are happy as consumers is probably quite low on their priority list with a game such as this one.

Posting on Moore's blog is probably futile but it could be worth a try

Also I would definitely want to run something like this past the OS Staff because we are representing this site. There is no way I would post something without approval.

Re: The Freezing Issue

Guffers...I know for 100% fact mate that one of the EA guys from another game was decent enough to send the link from this thread to the 'higher ups'.

Unfortunately......there was no response.

The simple reality is that if FIFA 10 froze....they would respond immediately. You can't piss off 2 milllion game owners.

NCAA was hardly bought...the numbers were so low that EA basically wrote it off within a week of release. In doing so, they wrote off supporting any post release problems.

The decent thing would have been to support the game for a couple of months and then leave it.

Decency and business rarely go together though.

Re: The Freezing Issue

Well thats the harsh reality I guess. The only thing we can do is refuse to buy Live new this year, for whatever good that will do.

Its not really a great time to like basketball games at the moment. Thanks for the clarification CV. I guess College BB games are in hibernation for the time being.
