...but wait! We might get Andray F'ing Blatche, whos playing has become erratic since the rumors of coming here are bothering him.

Sweet!

Re: ***Official Cleveland Cavaliers Thread***

Manny Harris and Kid Congo are the only current players I want to see on this roster by 2012.

Question Cleveland

I was just wondering what you guys thought of the cavs season, given the previous summer, losing Lebron, Shaq and Big Z.
Who did you think was our best?
Who do you think we'll pick up in the draft?
How do you think we will do next year?
Thanks guys,
GO CAVS!

Re: Cleveland

Only game I saw all year of their's was vs. heat so I can't say who there best players were, but just going by highlights and stats, I'd say JJ Hickson.

I could see them going after someone like Harrison Barnes in the draft. You just better hope that they don't go for Jimmer lol.

Season sucked. Tough to watch with all the injuries.

Best player was Sessions. Saw a stat that he avgd something like 18 and 7 after the break. If he starts getting calls he could be a very nice backup PG, cuz he likes to throw himself into a crowd. JJ is inconsistent, and only started rebounding once both Andy and Twan went down. Look for Hickson to be moved...he's just not a B. Scott guy, and I doubt the Cavs pay this dude.

In the draft, I think its Kyrie or bust, although I really like Derrick Williams. This is a low upside draft, but Williams looks like a really solid, super athletic glue guy. If we don't get a star, at least get a great roleplayer. One of the many foreign centers is also a lock with the Clipps pick.

The Cavs could make the playoffs in the East if they can get everyone healthy, but thats a big if. As seen this year, they have a very small margin of error.

Re: Cleveland

I agree HMcCoy. Sessions was great and I reckon he's a possibility for 6th man of the year next year. If Hickson comes off the bench when Varejao is back he will be better as well.
I live in Australia so I don't know much about the draft but we need a good backup at the 4 spot

You should like Kyrie Irving then. Pretty sure he came from Australia.

I agree with HM that the primary target in the draft should be Kyrie, but if not him then Derrick Williams would be just fine to me.

Call me crazy but I'm almost to the point where I might want Williams more just because he seems like a guy that isn't afraid to take charge and is the complete polar opposite of basically the entire current Cavs roster. He actually seems to play with heart every night unlike the '10-11 Cavs who hardly did that.

Well, it's quite obvious the season sucked from a watchability stand point, but kinda glad we stunk. We needed to tear it down and thankfully the talent was able to facilitate a massive rebuilding project now.

Our best player was....probably Baron Davis. JJ Hickson's "defense" is awful and has the worst hands I've seen since...well, Z.

Who do I think we'll pick? Derek Williams. Who do I want? either Williams or Irving. Really all depends on where we pick, though. Cannot wait for the draft, though.

Next year, I want to tank it one more season. Next year has a good shot at being an all time great draft with the amount of talent that could be in the draft.

I agree about Baron. He was a real breath of fresh air to see someone who could actually play the game after that season of horrors. He also tweeted that CLE was like a "baby hometown", and he was really enjoying it here. May be BS, but he didn't have to say that. I think he relates to the underdog-ness of the area. I hope we keep him...never in a million years would I have thought I would say that.

If we don't get a 1 or 2 pick in the lotto, I would actually trade down, grab a couple foreign bigs, and pray for the lockout...
