NBA Live 13 - Digital Download?

Not sure what this means, but found it interesting. Xbox Rewards has a special this month if you buy sports-themed DLC. So Xbox Support put up a list of all qualifying content.

Not sure what this is. Could just be a placeholder - it's the only NBA Live 13 content listed. I don't think it's Season Ticket/Early Release, because that shows up as a separate game title "NHL 12 - Early Release" vs "NHL 12". Let the speculation begin

Well its not coming this month because they really haven't said anything about the game unless its something related to live.

Would a digital release allow EA to release the game on 10/2 and then keep working on it with improvements through DLCs?

No thanks with digital games. I want the physical copy of the game when i buy a game. If i want to be able to play the game on a console other than my own i can't do that with a digital game unless i sign in on the other person's system under my name and download it on their system. And if that's the case then they just lost a sale because now that person would have the game without having to purchase it. That's what my brother and I do with a lot of DLC especially for Call of Duty. One of us purchases it, the other logs on their system with the same name and downloads it on their system.

A digital release makes sense if they're trying to spend as much time as they can on game development. They won't have to bother with the time takes for mass production, packaging, in store advertising etc... once it goes gold. I guess.

they have no confidence in the game and want to make it so people cant trade it in after they see the condition it was released. Its all about making money from everyones curiosity. Get casuals to spend 59.99 for a digital download of a game they cant give away if they tried while keeping the price up for people who want to try it out later. Cuts out gamestop and cuts out gamefly. BS move by EA because it alienates those who dont have online capabalities or dont uses hard drives.
