NBA Elite 11 Video: Quick Clip #5

This clip looked pretty nice, but the only thing that annoyed (a little) me was the collision animation that played out with Garnett kinda awkwardly. But the quick read by Kobe that lead into his spin from Ray Allen was sweet. I also noticed that it seems like they've improved Kobe's face and the body proportions/ how the jerseys hang on the player's frames. Can't wait to see some full speed 5 on 5 gameplay!

I found that awkward too and also Kobe jumped TOO high.

pretty impressive i must say. Should put a end to the talk i've been hearing about elite not really using real time physics..........

Look at Ray Allen slide literally from the free throw line to the hoop. What happened to footplanting? Did it get overshadowed by "Real Time Physics"?

I also noticed that the players that were closest to kobe weren't looking towards him or the ball when he got the and 1....hopefully this can be fixed before the game goes gold, cause it was one of the little things that took away from the immersion of Live 10.

Kind of...yeah.

Still working on that, but like I said in another post, the physics is currently fighting with foot planting.

Still working to get the animation side to catch up with the physics fast enough so foot planting can do its job. It's working great in some cases, still looks pretty bad in other cases.

I'm confident we'll improve it by the time we release the game.

Just so you know, by prioritizing the physics over the animation, you always get a consistent feel to the game, and the defender feels like a real physical presence when playing. You really have to work hard to break him down.

Unfortunately you can't really feel that from a video. But you can see the sliding.

We're working on the sliding...but we're absolutely thrilled with the way the game plays right now.

I think we chose the right priority, and now we're just cleaning up the loose ends.

i disagree on this one,everybody looked at kobe going to the rim except maybe rasheed,but you guys right about when kobe releases the ball and no one following it.
i found that ray allen slides just two steps top nothing more then that, and if reanimator says it's fixable then i'm very glad about it.
also i really liked the video except the weird collison animation.
