Petition: Add Euphoria or equal to nba live 11

First of i wanna congratulate the team of nba live at EA! Imho they steped over nba2k this season....and i was a hardcore 2k guy for years...i always was begging 2k for better physics but they ignored me....SO: i want everybody who would love to see real physics in an nba game next year or at 2012 to sign up in this thread to show devs that there is demand for better physics...feel free to comment on my opinion; mirelle out

I don't know about this. I wasn't that impressed with GTA IV's Euphoria application because of all the lag in moving of any kind, and when you change direction when walking you're pivoting on one foot making it look unnatural.

Rockstar spent 3 years working with Euphoria's engineers to get it into their game, and the end result wasn't that impressive, at least IMO. It would probably take longer than 3 years to incorporate it into any other game and get a good product.

I'm happy with the locomotion in Live 10 though.

Now honestly, if you want them to focus on the game's physic tell the devs, but you shouldnt tell them *how* they should do it, because I think they know better than anyone here. Euphoria's just a middleware, not a magic wand to get better physics.

multiple branching animations should be more than enough. i don't want guys going all ragdoll whenever they jump into guys.

Euphoria is a bad example

however the tech that is used in UFC and FNr4 would work well to get rid of the clipping that occurs when there isn't a multi-player canned animation

I think the movements involved and various types of collisions that occur in the sport of basketball would make adding Euphoria nearly impossible. There's no way they could add that kind of technology by next year...probably not even on this generation of systems. I think it will be at least another 4-5 years before they can add Euphoria to a basketball game (probably longer).

Let me preface by saying this, the years of innovation in gaming are long behind us, in today's world companies like EA, activision are only concerned about maximizing sales at the compromise of quality.

this is why you see so many sequels, abandonment of PC support and really half-assed original IPs that fail.

No publisher is taking risks so developers are implored to pump out safe designs. as far as euphoria, the most inventive animation engine we've ever seen, well to bring it full scale to a sports game would cost millions and we don't even know if fans will buy it(publisher pov) so we wait for the ebb and flow of sales from a game like backbreaker to tell publishers if it's worth it or not.

games have stagnated and have stayed within the same design philosophy for at least a decade. portal semi-broke through but it wasn't a fully realized product.

I wouldn't say Euphoria per say. Don't want to limit them in terms of creation plus I'm sure Live's engine is good just needs some fine tuning to allow some stuff. I say just play the same game as the comp. Add a ish load of Animations, Use fight night 4's facial animation for the players, Re-do the Arenas (the courts look nice but arenas don't feel Homey) and get better cloth tech for the jerseys. Oh yea and please get rid of the gloss of use new texture for the skin because the sweat is too glossy. Thought the game was sponcered by Vaseline or something lol. But if they do those few things I mentioned and add some game modes then we have a ball game fellas. The tech is inhouse, EA has great tech just have to use it like the comp used inhouse tech this yr. But go further, as long as Live is playing catchup they won't fully take the lead.
