bad idea. this would totally ruin Live's great dribbling control that is tied to the right stick.

Yeah I agree, I like Live's controls much more than 2K.
Live's R-stick dribbling and layup solutions > Iso motion and shot stick.

I want to see these happen in Live 11...
The Art of pumpfake
-faking the defender
-drawing a foul
-collision
Chase down block & behind the back block
Defense (My major concern in Live 10 especially while playing online)
-tight defense in Live 10 is useless (strategy menu)
-double teaming sometimes in Live 10 is useless (defenders trap but sometimes they just stand and do nothing).
-defense online in Live 10 is weak(dominated by offense).
-offense needs to be equal with defense.
-lockdown the opponent whether playing on ball or off ball D
-denying the ball when playing off ball D
-hand in the face
-shading or hands up effectiveness
-leaning or establishing body contact against the off ball player or on ball player
-more fouls and body contact when playing a tight D
Rebounding (Animations)
-in Live 10 I'm a little bit disappointed about how the rebound works.
-ball physics
-player positioning
-box out
-luck (sometimes a player gets lucky with the ball)
Kudos to you guys for making Live 10 a sim & fun game again. :-)
I was impressed of your efforts on bringing back Live again into the competition. Can't wait for Live 11 (or the next Live). Also pls improve in Live 11 the player movements. They don't move like robots anymore but the stiff movements need some fixing and improvement.
PS. replace Steve Kerr (Suns GM) and bring back Mike Fratello or add any of these 4. R. Miller, Mike Breen, M. Jackson, or Hubie Brown. :-)[Reply]

i wanna see some animations where, big guys like shaq, will actually show that he has the advantage from a weight standpoint. so if he goes up for a rebound or a dunk, i wanna see the smaller defender do some sort of "get out of the way" animation or something of that nature. i'm tired of seein skinny dudes 'manhandle' shaq in these contact animations. i'd like to be able to tell a difference in the big guy v. the smaller guy. and also, get rid of some of the 'acrobatic' layups for the bigs, too many times ive had shaq under the basket, only to have him do some fancy layup, rarely can i get him to dunk like Shaq should. the gameplay is there, just add a lot more variety of animations specific to player and or body type.

Live devs I want a crowd lookin' like this for Live 11.... :-)
Considering I don't want to read all 17 pages I will post the things I would love for Live 11 despite most probably being said a million times.
1. Gameplay gameplay gameplay! This is the most crucial aspect that Live needs to step up. They made a huge jump with Live10 but there are still things that need improving. Mostly a more realistic shooting display. Open jumpers should be sunk the majority of the time and tough layups with the defense draped over the player or shots with a hand in the face need to have a lower success rate. The defense needs a huge improvement, it's just to tough to stop the offense then it is to blow past the defense. There needs to be a healthy medium.
2. My Player mode. EA Sports (from what I know) were the leaders to bring out a 'My Player' or 'Superstar' mode in games such as FIFA and Madden. I bought both 2K10 and Live10 this year (cheap deal for me :-)) and the only reason I am playing more 2K is because of my player mode. EA know how to make this a great game mode and I am sure could trump 2K if they did it properly. It would be cool if you could do things such as get invited to a USA camp and play in the Olympics in the off season or something like that.
3. Commentary. This is where I think 2K got the best of Live this year. Live is seeming to get a bit more dry each year for a lack of conversation.
I know there is more but if these 3 points are addressed properly it will be one hell of a game that I would be willing to fork out for and some. These plus a game that doesn't have any major glitches and a steady online play and I would be a very happy man.
Anyone know if this actually gets seen by the Live dev team?

Some kind of rotation control. The fact that you can't guide auto subs at all is a problem.

I don't want to see these again in Live 11... Ain't a big deal for me but...
-players in Live 10 can catch the ball without looking at it while being thrown at them? C'mon! That's so fake!
-I hope that this issue can be corrected & avoided in Live 11.
-some suggestions about the off ball control (offense) & passing controls:
*Please change the controls in the off ball control in the upcoming Live 11 because sometimes it doesn’t work and ends up as a direct pass to your teammate.
*from holding R2 change it to L3 (ps3). By pressing L3 the triangle, square, circle, & x icon will appear for 3 seconds and pressing any of the four icons will now trigger the offball control. I think this is easier to do compared to holding the R2.
*tapping the pass button will do a fake/hesitation pass
*while holding and not releasing the pass button, your player will not throw the ball to his teammate.
*also while holding the pass button (same as direct passing), the teammate/s who is/are not paying attention or looking at you will now pay attention & look at you & then he/they will position himself/themselves properly so that they can successfully catch the ball from you. It’s like players communicating to each other. Lack of communication when passing the ball in the NBA results to a turnover.
Yao can jump as high as Scola? R u kidding me???
Online Suggestions for random ranked online
-Pls. make the Superstar difficulty as the default difficulty. In All-Star it's very easy to shoot, dunk, & AI teammates are not as smart as the AI teammates in Superstar. Doesn't matter to upgrade from All-Star to Superstar difficulty because you're no longer playing with an AI in online but instead your playing with humans with different skills.
-Before the start of the game allow us to adjust some settings first. Strategy menu, playbook, & etc.
-Pausing the game when the game already started will no longer be allowed cause it's pretty annoying & it's like you're in a timeout situation.
-Pausing the game is only allowed during after each quarter ends, halftime, & when calling a time-out (20 seconds or full TO).
-instead of 5 minutes per quarter(default) why not make it 6?
Coaches
-why not include the coaches in the DNA?
-coaches ratings (strengths & weaknesses) can somehow affect their team's tendencies whether it's offense (tempo & execution) or defense.
Strategy Menu
-make it user friendly & very easy to navigate because in Live 10 it sucks.

I wana c the new locomotion system have an effect on every facet of the game.when a player runs down another to attempt a block on a fastbreak they always stop n jump straight up,what's up with that?that's not momentum or locomotion.we need to see players jump n glide to attempt a block when ur running full speed down the court,or even when ur in the halfcourt n u have enough distance to run up n attempt a block.they need to allow players to fall out of bounds or run into the basket post underneath.or jump over the front row or into the front row, into the camera men/cheerleaders/ball boys.overall, just interact with the crowd moreso..maybe have players slap hands with a fan after a big play or motion towards the crowd, just acknowledge the crowd more.
add more animations!!!!!! we need lots n lots of animations for all the different scenarios in a game.I want to play the game for months n still run into different
circumstances that I've nvr seen,it makes the game so fresh n alot more realistic if the animations look right.I'm talkin more layups, dunks, dribbles, shots, blocks, blocks, blocks,m ore dunks, more layups...
players need to dive outa bounds during the hustle plays.they have like one where they get on the floor n it's scripted, thesame result everytime the animations play out.these needto b open ended.matter of fact,EVERY ANIMATION NEEDS TO B OPEN ENDED!!!!no more scripted sequences.the tipped rebounds r the same way.the ball needs to b an object,if a player gets even a finger on the ball,it should show that animation wise, maybe the ball gets bobbled or dropped..or maybe it's tipped n recovered n the play continues.
make us feel in the moment with big reactions from players,crowds,coAches...make the pressure moments affect gameplay n let us see it animation wise.players reacting to lost possesions in close games, bein mad about calls, mad at teammates for missing easy looks, talking to coaches about the next play to run during freethrows, maybe captains discussing strategies with younger players or maybe a hot role player gets praised by their teammates.so many improvements to b made.just the beginning, hope u guys show me some love on my ideas...check out my arena! ;-)
