PS3 Framerate issues...

are bad. Really bad at times. So bad that it ends up effecting my shot sometimes. Is anybody else experiencing this? I pray that EA releases a patch that fixes this soon. I love everything else about this game, and I am still very much diggin' it like crazy. But if this issue isn't fixed with the first patch, I'm going to be forced to buy the competition and give them a try.

Also, after quarters, is music supposed to play to go along wth the highlights? It only does for like one quarter, then silence for the rest of them. Just curious if there is an audio issue as well. Other than that I have no issues. Can an EA Dev help me out on this, though? Will this issue be fixed, because it damn near cripples my experience some games. Thanks, and kudos for taking Live in the direction that it needed to go!

I didn't notice anything like this in the demo.

Are you talking about the demo or the full game?

And before you buy the competition make sure you check that forum for framerate issues...

Re: PS3 Framerate issues...

The IGN review did mention that the PS3 version is noticeably worse than the 360 version... But people who have played it here claim it's not bad at all. And apparently Mike or someone from the development team also claimed that the frame rate issue had been resolved for the retail release (though I don't have a link to an actual quote).

So I'm not sure what to believe at this point. After all of the assurances we've been given on this forum I'll be pretty disappointed to say the least if I end up paying for a technically flawed product.

I mean, it's almost 2010... Is it really that hard to develop a game for PS3?

I'm talking about the actual retail game. I picked it up today and have played 3 games on 8 minute quarters. Inbounding the ball, going for a rebound, shooting long range shots tend to bring up framerate issues for some reason.

I don't know if only certain games do this, or if it is random copies of the game that have this problem, but they are bad at times. Heck, I'd even venture to say that they are worse at times than what the demo was doing for the PS3 version.

I remember seeing that quote and thought that would all but guarentee us a solid game. But that isn't the case (at least not for all of the discs perhaps). I really don't know if these will be isolated incidents and/or if it will vary on different PS3 systems or different discs. I just don't see how (or why) some people would experience it and not others.

Re: PS3 Framerate issues...

You guys have seen my videos that I put up

The game wasnt made on the PS3 so im sure the 360 is smoother, but the final is nothing like the demo

Again, you've seen my uploads... tell me what you see?

I understand, man. But I'm telling you it gets really bad at times. Maybe these are only isolated problems on certain discs. But the copy I got is so bad I don't know what I'm going to do if EA doesn't address this. Again, I love everything else about this game, but the framerate issues at times are unacceptable.

Can a dev please tell me if we can expect a patch to fix these random incidents?

Re: PS3 Framerate issues...

I had it once I reported in the dynasty ASG when CPU went into a huddle of guys at the rim.. other than that the only glitchy thing i've seen is the end of qtr replays at times

They should patch it up though if it gets as bad as you're experiencing.. Im having a ball
