What EXACTLY does the DNA represent?

Hey guys - had a question/thought about the DNA and I really don't know the answer. What EXACTLY do the DNA numbers represent?

I "think" it means, for all that particular player's shots, this is how they came. Post up, Iso, P&R man, P&R handler, spot up, etc....

Am I correct in that thinking? Along those lines, if a player gets a rebound and put-back, what category does that affect?

Re: What EXACTLY does the DNA represent?

That's right. It determines what a player is likely to do, will he go left or right or pass or dribble or drive or shoot?

For a put back it would probably affect whether he puts it back or passes out to someone else.

Every time a player scores in the NBA, Synergy makes note of how they scored. A rebound then basket doesn't really fit into the current play types, but most scoring plays will.
