FIBA Tourneys

Is anyone having a blast with this feature? I personally think this is one of the best features in the game. For whatever reason this game and the gameplay really shines when playing with Fiba teams. Team Canada obviously captured this well. I think it's funny when I'm playing with canada and Steve NAsh, the commentary tells me I should be dumping it into Amare Stoudamire though. Obviously a bug and some comments are obviously attached to certain players. I keep getting called phoenix at times as well.

Lol, yeah, next year they should have specific commentary for the national teams. I was playing against Spain and at the start of the game they were talking about Pau Gasol and how he's effective in the triangle offense. Against France they were talking about Parker and Duncan.

But this is a good addition, but it seems they're building it slowly. Last year they only had a handful of teams, and an NBA-scale court. This year they added more teams and corrected the court. Next year they should add specific commentary, specific crowd graphics (country flags, shirts, etc), and specific crowd chants. It should feel totally different from an NBA game, especially the atmosphere, because right now it just kinda feels like an NBA game with different teams.

But yeah, I might actually play a whole tournament while waiting for the patch and my Dynasty to start.

YEah its obviously not finished. Team canada seems to like the international flavor or something though. FIBA is captured pretty well here and they obviously did a great job with FIFA and NHL this year... I wish they would get up to speed with football and the nba, because they are lagging behind just a tad. I played FIFA today and I seriously have soccer and hockey envy because those 2 games are so good.

Basketball and football seem to be aimed at the casual gamer where NHL and Fifa are true sims. It's a shame because I wish they would make a basketball game like NHL. It's not that they can't. I'm not even a soccer or hockey fan and those games are a thing of beauty.

yeah nhl and fifa are pretty good, boyyyy I cant wait for fight night round 4 for some reason there the only game company that can get boxing right.

The FIBA Tourneys are a nice feature. I do think it would be another cool feature to have a tourney with NBA teams(either a simple playoff tree or the ability to use the FIBA tourney format for NBA teams). The playoffs have been a feature in previous Live games, not sure why they dropped it.

^^Or an inter-league type tourney, so you can use all teams from the NBA and FIBA. That would be fun.
