MUST SEE: (Playmakers)latest post abt ratings at sportsgamer.com

"Well your going to either laugh or be really upset with what I'm about to post.

The reason why the players are still playing the same way they played in Live 08 is because the RATINGS haven't been changed at all.

That's right people I kept asking myself why does Shaq always play the same way in Live year after year and low and behold just about every star player has not had ratings change from Live 08.

I'm to afraid to even look up the ratings in Live 07 because if it goes back that far I'm going to break something.

This explains the reason why we see Players wearing the shoe colors they wore from Live 07. The only thing being updated is the rosters.....I have to believe that the engine we are seeing is from Live 07 which had the original foot planting for those of you who remember. I think they went back and smoothed some things up like the animations and such

We get 50+ ratings but there's only maybe 5 that are updated from years past. Why give us 50+ ratings if your only going to use 5 of them each year EA?

This goes back to what I said before, the average guy isn't going look at this stuff. He's going to pick up the game and play and if you ask him what is Dirk's Shooting Mentality or Go To Guy rating he's going to scratch his head and look at you like your crazy. But for those of us who want to play in Dynasty and have these players in the game make our dynasty even more SIM this is UNACCEPTABLE to try and pawn us a game where guys like Brandon Roy, Al Jefferson, Andre Igoudala, Danny Granger or any other young up and coming stud has no ratings adjusted to reflect his game improving over the years.

Here's the ratings for Live 08

Top C's

Top PF's

Top SF's

Top SG's
http://www.sportsgamer.com/content/1...ooting-guards/

Look at your Default Rosters for Live 09 or some of the some flaws I posted in this thread.

You'll see that the game is called Live 09 but we are still getting the same exact poor ratings we got in Live 08 and most likley Live 07.

Brandon Roy and Danny Granger for crying out loud still have their rookie ratings

I'm done proving my point about.....the game has sucked out of the box for the last 3 years because the ratings have sucked and remained the same.

Each year we only see progress because we alter the ratings.....come to find out we are altering the same EXACT RATINGS every year for the same players.

Yeah you can have 365 Updated daily....AND Made Fresh!

But the DNA updates can't have that much effect with this stuff going on under the hood. Some body at EA has to roll up their sleeves and manually edits this stuff because the ratings ain't gonna change by themselves FELLAS."

I don't know abt you guys but i also knew something was funny about the ratings and this really dissapoints me

It is sad. As soon as he or someone else releases his edits I will be DL it. No question and I could care less that LBJ goes left or right 33% of the time. All I want is him driving the lane aggressively.

Between Tomba's sliders and Playmakers edits they could make one hell of a NBA Game.

Sony should hire you two for NBA 2010.

I would love to see 2k, Live and you guys in 10. Talk about competition.

Re: MUST SEE: (Playmakers)latest post abt ratings at sportsgamer.com

thats a helluva lot of changes to make especially considering its 50+ per player, than you have to look at the scaling of the new ratings compared to other players in the league.. Its definetly a job made up for 10-15 people at multimillion dollar EA to fix, not your average joe.
