4th Quarter Blues

Is anyone getting destroyed in the 4th quarter on a regular basis? It seems that no matter what the game is like for 3 quarters, the CPU turns into the 1980s All Stars and just kicks my a** all over the arena.

This morning I played as New Orleans against the Rockets. I led by as many as 11 in the first half and I was down two going into the 4th. I got outscored 26-6. They shot 69% from the field in the 4th and I shot 26%.

Yes, I know this happens in real life and it is not the first time I've experienced this. It happens in NBA2K9, College Hoops 2K8, and even the March Madness Demo! I lose as Kentucky to Tennessee in the last minute EVERY TIME!

Because it has happened so much, I tried to pay special attention to the passes and shot selection. Didn't help.

What are you guys doing to close out games?

twolves just shot same against me(spurs) in the 4th (rewind game)

I have to same struggles in the 4th quarter as well. I just played a game against the 76ers. It was a good game up until the 3rd quarter ended. I was up 62-54 and after the cpu went on a shooting spree and not missing 1 shot the entire 4th quarter, I ended up losing 72-86. I could do nothing but laugh. I had guys in the face and contesting shots. I guess it's just the comeback AI that is in the game because it has happened on more than just a few games I have played in.

Nada. It's happened to me, but I've also ran away with a few games in the 4th. Most have been fairly even in the 4th.
