There's a chance here for EA to really step up...

Lack of fast breaks and lack of true team variety

Poor interior D

Poor rebounding

Fix these things and this game would be great...

Why am I not putting this in a wishlist? Because these things should be expected in an NBA game.

We shouldn't even be debating fast breaks and rebounding. Those things should be there. Full stop.

A patch is needed.

Not "wait until 2010 and pay $60 again".

Not "put it in your wish list".

There's a chance here for EA, Steph and Beluba to step up here and release a quality patch / take pride in their work / give the best possible service to their customers who bought the game.

EA have been working hard to win a lot of us back. Well, here's your chance fellas.

The old EA would have walked away by now...have little customer contact...and call all the things it fixes "new features" in 2010 and get your $60 again.

This is a new EA though. These guys have been very supportive on the boards and listened. Now is the time to really show things have changed and patch these issues.

If they don't.........................they'll be back to square one.

I am pretty confident they will fix things. Let's see...

I agree.

Please Steph and Beluda.
This Live 09 can be the best Basketball videogame (online and offline) i have ever played.
Only to fix 2 or 3 points and the game will be "THE BEST".
Your known what to do.
(Im a 2k and Live player, not only a Live player).
Thank You very much.

Rule #1 on asking developers to improve gameplay...get their names right. It's Beluba.

I agree with CV.

It's one week into THIS YEAR'S nba season.

I could care less about Live 2010. The game we just purchased Live 09, is setup perfectly to be fixed THIS YEAR with this patch.

Live 2010 is the last thing I'm thinking about right now, and I really get frustrated hearing about how NEXT YEAR will be the year for the Live series.

As CV stated, let's get 2009 right with this patch because next year means nothing to me while the current NBA season is going on now.

Hopefully, they deliver in the areas CV noted in his post.

Nice post. I'm all for it. Get it done EA. Get it done.

... Lol, but seriously, I hope that they fix if not all, then some of those issues with the upcoming patch. Or if not then, maybe a patch 2 like Madden?

One thing that I would like to see patched, if possible, is the rim physics. In practice mode, it's perfect. If they could make it like that in-game, that would be really great.

And if they could fix the "exploding shorts" graphical glitch, that would be nice too (sometimes when you go up for a block, when your player lands his shorts does some crazy stuff).

Guys, we're releasing a patch and we've been writing down all of this stuff.

I can't tell you what it's addressed yet, but I think you'll be pleased

Re: There's a chance here for EA to really step up...

but how could they fix poor interior D or poor rebounding or no fast breaking through a patch ???

Wouldn't these things have to be reworked and corrected in 2010 ??

Or is just as simple a changing some sliders around ???

Or is it a bit of both ??

LOL, naw man. Reading Rainbow was a PBS show. The More You Know would come on during Saturday morning cartoons or Saved By the Bell.

I remember a version of NBA2K a few years ago that had a patch fix a problem with almost zero fast breaks. Seems like it shouldn't be a problem in this case either.
